Total Solution On the road to a slimmer me :D

Thank you, first I was a bit disappointed in 3lbs, but its mainly been inches this week so I'm happy :)

Aww bless ya, yeah after the first they normally just pop through quickly and without you realising apart from the drooling and red cheeks. Aww no way! How did it go? How many days a week will he be with a childminder?

Lol yep I surprised myself really, I got the coat, still with tags in a charity shop for £8 - just got fed up with my really baggy coats :/ My jeans came today and they fitted fine :D Size 16.. big difference from the size 20s I was in on Jan 1st lol

I've just tried the vanilla, thats not too bad either! Just got to try strawberry which I will do tomorrow. Having an early night tonight as Ryans back at school tomorrow, so he'd want to walk all the way there which will mean an hours walk instead of half hour lol

You definitely shouldnt be disappointed, especially if you have dropped 2 clothes sizes in such a short amount of time. :bliss: I love a good bargain and you can get some really good stuff in charity shops these days. :D My coat is fitting me just right at the minute, I have been squeezing into it for quite a while so have just shrunk back into it.

I requested flexible working for when I return to work but it was declined  so I have to go back full time Monday to Friday. He's gonna go to the childminders Tues, Weds, Thurs, my friends gonna have him on a Mon and Fridays will be split between grandparents and me booking annual leave. Unless of course I win the lottery in the mean time, lol :p

Early night for me too, got the school run in the morning with the step kids, luckily its only 5 minutes up the road but still a real effort to get ready and get there on time! I dont envy you having an hours walk (at Ryans pace of course), but at least its some nice gentle exercise shifting those lbs. :)
I take it he's fully recovered from his poorly spell now then? x

Yep, hes fully recovered, think he just had the flu quite badly. Took him to school this morning and of course he wanted to walk lol.. hes got a habit of pretending to fall over because he slipped on ice before and got a reaction. Though had a nice surprise when his new teacher (she joined just before half term) told me shes got a soft spot for him and hes so lovely.. I did wonder if she got the right child ha ha!

Ordered the OH a bumper pack today :) Hes starting his diet on Monday, hes decided to do TS and not WS because he feels he might cheat on it.. fine by me means I can save doing shopping this week lol

Aww no why was it declined? That does suck I must admit :/ At least you have family & friends that can have Maxi for the odd day hes not at the childminder. Can't you appeal the decision?

I used to snub at charity shops, however, I've been buying clothes on Ebay.. whats the difference in the end? Oh apart from paying postage costs for the separate items lol I'm hoping to not be in them for long but I know 2 sizes in just over a month might mean I'm stuck in these sizes for a while, not complaining though, better off than on.

About to go pick up Ryan, then we're off to the inlaws as its come out a nice day. Going to have a strawberry shake before I leave though so I won't take the shakes with me to the inlaws lol

Glad he is feeling better. :D Must have made you so proud when his teacher said that. Makes you feel like you're doing a good job of raising them when someone makes a comment like that. :)

I was the same with charity shops but then realised exactly the same as you, that I buy so much stuff off e-bay, for both me and Maxi, and its no different whatsoever. They do have a real stigma attached to them still though for some reason. Mainly by snobs I imagine. :p

My flexi time was declined as they said that there are a lot of new people and it would mean that whenever I wasnt in that no one would be able to book holiday time on them days. They have said that I can appeal it but its a nice easy mon-fri job that I enjoy and the people I work with are really nice so didnt want to go back on bad terms if my appeal got declined also. The thing is, I'll be no better off than I am now money wise :( as half of my wages will be going on the childminder which will leave me with about the same as my SMP is. Its my last maternity pay this month though so if I dont go back then I'll have no income at all so cant really win either way! :sigh:

Cant believe your OH is actually going to do it with you. Will make things so much easier for you not having food around, apart from whatever Ryan has obviously. You should do a competition with each other and whoever loses the most weight % each week has to do something for the other one, just to make it a bit fun.

My mum has been round all afternoon and she brought my grandma over with her and they were both amazed at how different I look :D to when I saw them last cause I had only been on it for a couple of days then. My mum said she might do it to but she said that immediately before eating some biscuits and chocolates. Thats definitely where I get my sweet tooth from!

Have fun at the in-laws, cant wait to here what she has to say about your weight loss today x

Lol well Ryans had a fair share of different pre-schools, his first one he lasted two mornings as they called me in and was like hes a nightmare child, can't handle him, something wrong with him (we told them he was being diagnosed for autism/development delay) - they grabbed him tightly by the shoulders to tell him off etc.. (i did complain to ofsted about them and I call the teacher the wicked witch of the west when I see her ride her bike ;)) - the second one he went to he only lasted a morning because they felt his needs were too much for them and then his doctor advised the special needs school lol so for someone new at the school to say hes a sweetie is good for me :D knows hes finally settled somewhere.. just hope they don't kick him out next year as he needs to be statemented to stay there lol

Hmm yeah its a tough choice if you get on with people, at least you will get the social side of work back when you go back and then Maxi will be socialised with other little ones too, he'll love it especially if hes one of the younger ones.

OH has started today ! Think its weird him doing it to be honest as past few days hes been encouraging me to eat as I've started doing my Wii again after having two weeks off lol but it will be so much easier shopping wise as Ryan doesn't eat much. We do online shopping with Tescos as we don't drive and I worked out a shop for this week will be £50 lol, normally double that and thats with toiletries and household items included lol I don't think he'll be weighing daily/weekly like me though as hes against it and always tells me off. Hes just had his exante bar (I use tescos bars) and he says its alright, hes got a week pack so then he decide what he likes to carry on with.

Aww I bet that made you feel like this diet was worth it :D Lol, your mum could always use the tesco bars, makes her feel like shes having chocolate on the chocolate ones ;) lol

Didn't go round there Thursday, went yesterday instead.. she didn't say much, just asked for my coats and tops as she commented on my new top and of course me being smug said "its a 14, this jumpers a 16" and she said the jumper was baggy on me lol

Might not be on here much next few days as getting myself a new laptop, Ryans using the computers at school and they want to encourage it and he prefers my laptop lol - however the MIL bought me the laptop yesterday online :O! Its a loan though and I got to pay her back on Thursday lol (she got £12k through PPI come through last week)

Ohh! I did a cheeky weigh in today, I'm in the 13s :D :D official weigh on on Weds though.. hope your WI is a good one this week :D

Hiya, sorry, I'm being nosey and reading your posts. I work in the early years and appalled by what you have said about your child and the preschools. I can't believe both settings didn't give him any opportunity to settle in. That is so bad!!!! What did of stead do about your complaint?? I'm so glad he's managed to settle in somewhere now. It makes me so cross to ear of parents/children receiving this sort of treatment!!!!

On a lighter note, a huge well done on the size 14 coat..you must be over the moon. What is your total loss to date??? Xx

Bless him. Hopefully he has found somewhere that he can settle this time then, sounds like they really love him there and he sounds like a lovely little boy so why wouldnt they :)

Maxi will be the youngest one there till September when two little twin babies will be starting. She's a childminder who hires 3 other childminders to work there so I think they can have upto 12 children there at a time so yes will be good for him to be around other children instead of just me all the time.

The food shopping has really dropped here just by me doing it so I bet its a made a real difference with you both doing it. Hopefully being on it together will make things a lot easier :p

Did my first day of slim and save yesterday and everything I've tried so far is absolutely lush, the bars of sooooo nice :D. Lost 4lbs this week so really happy with that and just need another 3lbs to get to 2 stone.

Into the 13's hey, well done you!! :D Will be the 12's before you know it. Hope you have a good few days and stick with it, you're doing so well. Make sure to update on Weds so can see how official weigh in goes x

Hi spolly, well they told me they'd look into it and I know an Ofsted officer went there (as she asked me for directions as I was waiting for the bus lol) but I've heard nothing since, I've told everyone I know though about the behaviour and when I told the school he goes to now they said its not the first they've heard about both of them. The woman who runs the pre-school that grabbed my son I've noticed her hardly at the pre-school as she always seems to be in the local tesco express working, don't know if shes been sacked or shes doing less hours? She avoids me though, the other day she asked my other half how the little one is as I went down another aisle! Don't think it helped that when I saw her talking to him afterwards I said loudly "Why you talking to a child abuser?" - oops ;)

Altogether I have lost 26lbs since beginning of this year but on Exante I have lost 16lbs :)

Well done on the 4lbs :D Ooh I had a look at Slim and Save for the shakes but I do like my tesco bars lol Aww he will love it then as he will get so much attention for being the baby lol, I'm surprised she hires more so its more like a little nursery?
This week its another 3lbs, hoping for a big whoosh soon :/ How are you doing on slim and save now? OH gave up with Exante after.. wait for this? 6 hours.. he said its too hard for him and is going to cut me some slack as I have been a bit of a mardy arse.

New laptop came today :) So I'll be online more often now lol, bit difficult when you have a 3 year old who wants to play his number and word games lol - can't moan though as the school is encouraging computer play with him even more, even got Ipads in the school now !

6hrs!!!!!!! Men give up so easily. At least you can have his packs now though :D

Slim and save is going good :), you can have 4 packs a day or 3 packs and a protien meal so makes it a bit easier with less time between having your packs. Much prefer the flavours too so think I'll be sticking with it. See how this weeks weigh in goes though after my first full week on it. Not expecting much though as TOTM arrived today 4 days late :(, was starting to think I might me pregnant!!!!!

Yes its a bit like a mini nursery in a house, they split it up into babies, toddlers and older children so there are 3 childminders and then the main lady that oversees it all. They provide 3 meals and 2 snacks a day and also take them on one outing each day so I think he'll love it there.

Same here with OH 2 kids who are 6 and 8 whenever they are here they always want the laptop for moshi monsters or club penguin or something like that.

Had the MIL and OH aunties round today and they were saying could really tell a difference in may face and waist :) so thats good. They usually bring chocolates when they come but because they knew I was dieting they brought a bunch of flowers instead which i thought was really nice.

Well done on the 26lbs so far, bet you're well happy with that. How much more are you thinking you want to lose? Are you losing for any special occasion? x

Lol, he made me laugh he was like I'm hungry need food but Im keeping the soups - I don't like soup so I've got an extra 7 shakes lol starting to really like the chocolate one now though

Ah no! Stupid TOTM but at least it arrived even if it was a little late, bet you were pooping yourself lol. At least S&S is going okay for you :) Does sound more leaniant, how much does it cost? Not that I'm thinking of switching as I have 60+ shakes of exante here lol

Aww wow that does sound really good! A lot better than what I've heard about childminders in my area, he will love it I'm sure. How will it work with bank holidays as I know here the childminders don't take children on?

Aww thats nice of them to bring flowers round instead of chocolate, bet your loving the compliments though :p has your mum thought more about starting?

Got a slight confession to make... I had a coke zero today, well not even 100ml of it as it was horrible :/ - I used to be a coke fiend and used to drink at least 2L a day :/ not had a sip of it since beginning of the year :)

I've got another 4/5 stone to lose, but I'll be happy as a size 8/10 to be honest so I'm just going to see how its going to go really. Tis my birthday in July (goal date) so would be happy to be a size 8 then :) Doing it all for health reasons really, got a dodgy leg which no one is sure what it is, had it since I was 8, but late last year doing school runs I couldn't even walk to the end of my road without my whole foot and leg having pins and needles, since doing the diet I've had no problems with it. How about you? Have you got any special occasions coming up?

xx

Eurgh chocolate one was my worst  and always had to mix it with a black coffee! Coke zero is fine to drink, :) its definitely on the list of allowed drinks. I was the same, always had a good 2 litre bottle of fizzy pop before, suprised I havent had serious withdrawal symptons, lol. :party0027:

The package I ordered cost £99 roughly and that was for 28 days worth so about the same as Exante, I ordered enough to have 1 bar and 2 shakes a day and then I have been having either some chicken or tuna too. :)

My mum has said she is going to wait until after mothers day cause my brother has booked for her to go for a calorific 3 course meal  and she doesnt want to start and then undo all the good work. I think she would go for S&S instead as she likes the idea of being able to eat something each day or do WS on exante. :eat:

I've got about another 5 stone to lose to get me to goal which will be 12 stone. Will decide then if I want to lose anymore but I think I'll be happy at 12 (or 11st 13lb just so it starts with an 11). I turn 30 in September and a few of my close friends do aswell all within a couple of months and theres talk of going away  so thats when I set my goal date for beginning of September. I think if I got to a size 12/14 and looked good in them then I wouldnt overly mind what I weighed.

Its amazing isnt it how having the extra weight can really affect you. Good news that you've had no problems since starting the diet though :D, probably a mixture of the weight loss and the fact that you're now getting all the vitamins and nutrients etc that you're supposed to and probably wasnt in your old diet.

As well as wanting to look better I'm doing it for health reasons too and so I can play with Maxi and keep up with him as he gets older. I would like another baby in the not too distant future too and dont want to be a massive fatty and have to be monitored through my pregnancy again because of my weight, its embarrasing

Cant believe how many shakes you've got still! You're definitely committed to being on this for a good while at least x

Lol, I know, I never had any serious withdrawl symptoms either, just when I had a bit the other night it was rank.. so I know I don't need it :)

Hmm so cost wise it won't be that much different than Exante then? Lol spose its just what you feel is better for you. At least your mum is being sensible if your brother is taking her out for the night and all she'll do is eat, spose she can use that as her last meal sort of thing? lol

Ooh spose that is a good reason to get skinny if your going away with your mates for your birthday & for Maxi, they do get a lot hyper a lot sooner than you are ready for lol. I was also put onto consultant care because of my BMI, no one knew when I was actually due as midwife could feel baby a lot higher up when he shouldn't of been able to kick me in the ribs at 23 weeks, she said I was either 27 weeks or big baby, consultant said its cos I was fat :/ lol.. ended up having a 4lb 12oz at 35 weeks as he wasn't growing and placenta was failing. SCBU thought he was full term as he had no trouble breathing, just had jaundice and low sugar levels. Spose we'll never know lol

Yep defo 100% committed here :D even though I'm 24 I feel like its last time I can do this for me to be honest. Got some biggest loser bars here to try :) I don't live near an Asda and they wouldn't deliver to me for a long time, but they did today. I'll be trying one tomorrow to see how they are. I'm hoping to get to a 8-12 on Exante and then maintain/weight watchers to keep on track.

Oooh I might get some biggest loser bars to try, what are they like price wise? You'll have to let me know how they taste.

Cost is roughly the same and whats good is that if you order the month bumper pack you can pick and chose exactly what you want to put in it :) so lot better for me cause more variety. Different for each person though I suppose.

Yeah I was under consultant care too and was told cause I was so overweight that I'd probably have a really bad pregnancy :( and suffer with gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, high blood pressure the lot!! I ended up having a brilliant pregnancy all the way through and had a natural birth on my due date 8lb 5oz with no complications. Would still like to be a lot slimmer for next time though. :p

I know what you mean about being the last time, I dont think I could put myself through anymore failed diets  and the disappointment and guilt that comes with it.

Have you got any plans for the weekend? I tend not to really have any these days so I cant get tempted if I go anywhere, its not forever though.

Think once I get to my goal weight I will switch to either WW or SW. I did WW before but stopped when it switched to pro points for some reason and then I was pregnant so never really got very far with it. Loads of people I know do SW really successfully so not sure what I'll do yet. Got a while to decide though I would think x

Price wise they're expensive :/ £1.50 a bar! Just had a choc mint one and it weren't too bad, very filling though. You can taste the mint though which is good as I needed a little "treat" lol

Oh thats good because if you didn't like one flavour you wouldn't be stuck with it, you just wouldn't choose it. I'm quite lucky with Exante as I do like the shakes. How has your S&S week been?

Oh I got all the scarmongering too! Had to go for glucose tests, weekly scans (though that was due to the placenta too), every two weeks blood pressure checks (which were always low) - 8lb 5oz thats a good size :D though long gone were those days when they were tiny lol

For the weekend we're doing nothing thank god lol, past few weekends while the weathers been nice have been out but today it looks like it might rain, plus the other half not 100% well so I'm just chilling watching Jeremy Kyle USA lol, how about you?

Yeah I'm same boat as you, don't know which one will be better and would we need to go to the groups? Though probably at the time I'll be more confident, right now I'm not lol (which is why I went with Exante) But like you say, got a while to think about it yet.

Yeah £1.50 a bar is a bit steep! Had to take the car for MOT this morning (which it failed) and the garage is right by tesco so got some of their bars and they had the raspberry ones in which I've not tried yet so treat myself to a box of them too.

First week on S&S has been good, didnt have to go through the first few horrible days cause obviously had been on exante. Will see what the weigh in says tomorrow though!

Its really sunny here today but I'm still doing nothing. Just got home and have put my pjs back on! OH going football in a bit so gonna put Maxi down for his nap and catch up on some sky + recordings. I love Jeremy Kyle!!

Aw no thats a shame about the car! We don't drive, OH used to and I must admit I do miss having a car in the family. Hope its not going to be expensive to fix it up to pass the MOT?

I've not tried the raspberry ones, are they nice? I love the chocolate ones lol

I see another 4lbs gone from you! Well done :p you'll be a skinny moo in no time!

We've had nothing but rain past couple of days, today is a bit sunny but still looks miserable out there.

Oh yes the raspberry ones are absolutely gorgeous, you should definitely try them. I know quite a few people have said that they struggle to get them but there were loads on the shelf in tesco.

Another 4lbs took me over 2 stone so really happy with how things are going. When is your next weigh in?

Car gonna cost about £200 to fix which isnt that bad but its still £200 I havent really got. It is a bonus to have one and I dont know how we'd manage without it cause we live in a village but they are just so expensive to run.

It was absolutely gorgeous her on Saturday, really sunny. Then yesterday it rained and snowed all day and today it is absolutely gorgeous and sunny again. Been out for a nice long walk and got zumba tonight so plenty of exercise although I cant decide whether to go or to stay in and have a bit of a pamper night, face mask, paint nails etc. I know I need the exercise but its hard to get the motivation after a long day cause its not on till 8 and I'm usually ready for my pjs after I've put Maxi to bed!!!

At least you not having a car must mean you get plenty of exercise walking everywhere x

Lol yeah I must walk about an hour every two days, then the two school runs are hour there hour back x2

Ooh yeah I'll try the raspberry ones in the next tesco delivery - the bus that runs from town centre to our local tescos have decided they're not going to run anymore as people take the mick.

What did you end up doing last night? Should of done a pamper - treat yourself :D can always do a exersize DVD at home lol

Official weigh in is tomorrow but weighed in this morning (cheeky look can't hurt lol) and I've lost 3lbs again so I'm 13 stone 9lbs :D Hoping to at least shift a pound by tomorrow morning. Me and OH are arguing badly :/ - fed up of him being a lazy git - Normally I'd comfort eat if we were arguing but nah, theres nothing here I'd eat that I like apart from a bar but then I'll have to buy more and I can't do that right now lol

I counted up how many packs I got left, if I was to have 2 shakes and a bar each day then I've got 6 weeks worth of stuff left lol - keep drinking roughly 5/6L of water a day, is that good or am I going to do more harm than good? :/

That is a lot of walking!! You must burn all the calories you eat on exante just doing that, lol.

I ditched the zumba last night and did a bit of pampering instead, shaved my legs (rarity these days) :p, painted my nails etc and felt all fresh and lovely for it this morning. Made up for missing it though by going on a long walk this morning and just got back from another walk where Maxi fell to sleep and is now napping. :)

Aw sorry to hear about you and OH :(, I think its just men in general that are lazy. We had words the other morning about him helping out with Maxi cause he seems to think that cause he works that he doesnt have to do anything to help out and I just snapped the other day at the weekend when Maxi woke and was crying and OH just lay there as if its solely my job to get up with him like I dont deserve a weekend too. He has got up and gave him his breakfast and bottle once since he was born and I made some comment about how he might manage to make it twice before he turns one. I know he couldnt do much at the start cause I was breast feeding but I guess he just got used to not helping. He's been loads better since though and helping out a lot more so the outburst obviously worked. I've told him when I go back to work in 4 weeks that its gonna have to be 50/50. Hope its nothing serious with you two and you work it out. You should just stop doing things for him for a bit and then he would probably realise how much you actually do.

I usually drink about 3 litres of water a day and dont think I could manage much more than that. I pee enough already!! I dont see how drinking more would do any harm though, the mor ethe better I would imagine.Good luck for the weigh in tomorrow, I remember now that you do it on a Wednesday. Fingers crossed for another lb off. You'll be in the 12's in the next few weeks you skinny minny x

Yay glad you did the pamper, bet that made you feel really good & well done on the walking. I've bought this new skin stuff (that proactiv stuff that gets advertised a lot) so as well as sorting my weight out I'm sorting my skin out too.

Lol, from the sounds of that it is definitly a man thing! OH used to work and never got up with Ryan during the "night shift" lol, on a Sunday, the OH used to go to work for 6am so I used to put Ryan into our bed and he'd sleep for a lot longer lol. But now OH doesn't work (his manager called Ryan a retard and was telling my OH how he'd like to be "done" sexually) all he seems to want to do is sit at the PC, play with Ryan at home, do school run and go to his mums - thats it, while I take Ryan to the park, and local groups. Glad your outburst with your OH actually did something to kick him up the bum :p Though last night OH told me he wants to move out of the area, somewhere cheaper than here so god knows whats up with him really. We are talking now though.

I've lost another lb so thats 4lbs :D Lol yeah I'm still peeing a lot, at least its coming out lol, I've been reading horror stories of people who've died drinking loads of water though mine is spaced out throughout the day.

Ryan was up during the night again coughing and a runny nose - again. Though today he doesn't seem as bad.
