How much are you willing to spend?
Is she going up Machu Pichu? If so she will need walking boots/shoes, decent walkers socks and liners (bamboo are good) the socks can cost £15+
Mosquito nets, a good backpack, Books on the history of the artifacts that she will see.
    Binoculars, vouchers for photo printing.

I'm not too sure on how much you are thinking of spending, but I can only think of these things so far, a camel pack (like a rucksack but for water) or a battery operated battery charger (make sense?), insect repellent, insect bite cream, aloe vera gel.

I'd love to go to Peru;)

    A hat is vital.

This is a Tilley hat but I am sure there are more economical versions.

This is a scrunch up up-able one.

You can buy hats like these on Amazon.

Spanish/English dictionary if they do not speak Spanish.
    Moisturising cream, chap-stick for lips
