Snow's umpteenth weight loss thread

It was really nice. I think the blackberries were in the sauce which was sweet as there were none on the plate. The celeriac was toasted and pureed but it was delicious. I would happily have it again tonight but i suspect I'll seem very boring to my colleagues. I have also had a few low carb drinks gin and light tonic, the light tonic was not as light as i would like (They didn't have slim line) so i switched to vodka and diet coke (the drink of.dieters everywhere)

I had bacon, scrambled egg and sausage for breakfast. The sausage looked really meaty so I'm hoping it wasn't too carb heavy. I had ordinary ketchup but not to be helped. Followed by greek yogurt and blueberries.

I was worried about the conference lunch but it was actually really low carb friendly. Thai chicken curry, vegetable curry, kale and carrot salad, cabbage and radish salad. (There was also bread and rice) but i ignoref them.) Pudding was posset and short bread. I did eat the posset which will have sugar but.not the shortbread so overall it was a win. (Assuming the curry sauces weren't full.of sugar as well) and there was a cheese board so i had some goats cheese and a nice cheddar.

You are doing brilliantly! But what the heck is posset when it's at home? :)
Dessert made with cream, sugar and alcohol. Like pannacotta with no gelatine just whipped so.its set.

I'm at a work do tonight with free pizza so i went to the hotel restaurant and had confit duck before we left. Drinks are free but given the full day of conferencing tomorrow I'm trying to be sensible with the free gin and slimline tonic.

I did not do.well on limiting the free drink and do not remember how many gin and tonic I had (whups) luckily I don't get hungover but I am so tired.

Breakfast same as yesterday but with added cheese and I skipped the Greek yogurt. Planning on ditching my work colleagues tonight wanderingbtound to a Nandos I've seen on googlemaps and then coming back to hotel to go for a swim.

The conference lunch was a let down low carb wise compared to yesterday. Two varieties of gnocchi and no cheese board. One of the gnochi was with meatballs so i picked a load of meatballs out (I've become one of those people) And have them with a load of salad leaves and mozzarella.

I did not ditch my work colleagues but we went to a smoke house and I had steak, guacamole and onion rings - I'm working on the assumption these are better than chips as the onion is okay it's just the batter but I will admit I have not checked this out. I then went back to the hotel and managed to finally go for a swim! now I am going to have a sugar free jelly, then a bath then an early night! No partying tonight.

Same old breakfast, conference lunch was salmon with salsa Verde, vegetable tagine, Caesar salad and the cheese board was back. My plan is to head to M and S at kings cross and get some deli items for the train home and tomorrow I have a day off in lieu of Sunday.

I might sleep.through it even if it is nice. This has been the best work conference I've ever been to and I've learned lits but it's been full on! Attached a pic of my train dinner!

Work remains mental and I came back from the conference with a cold that is lingering. Boo.

I remain on plan - my first work christmas meal out was yesterday - we went to an italians i had calamari and stuffed chicken and veg while everyone else had potato skins and pizza. Today was my old boss's 60th birthday at work and there were three cakes (and a buffet) I ate my cheesecake. This is not fun - there is a work night out on friday (we are going bowling) but I'm going for a meal before hand with an old work buddy if we can think of anywhere vegan and low carb (we're stumped so far)

Wow you are doing brilliantly and finding all sorts of options to stay on plan, well done love!

Hmm vegan AND low carb, that is a bit of a challenge. What about somewhere like a Harvester, where she can have quiche, soup, pasta, that sort of thing? Oh no, scratch the quiche, I forgot eggs are a no no.

Anyway, have a great time!

Forgot to mention she is also doing low carb which meant a lot of places were out. Because there are places that have a vegan option and a low carb option but low carb vegan is pretty specialised. We ended up at Wagamama's. (good for vegan, not for low carb) i mostly ate vegan too which is a nice change because i do sometimes feel bad about my increased animal.product diet. (But nit that bad as its working) We got a avant gard'n salad each - I love the vegan egg in this and everything in it is okay apart from the brown rice, and we shared a vegan katsu curry and left most of the rice, she had bang bang cauliflower and i had duck and lettuce wraps.

I had 1 vodka and coke and 4 double vodka's and coke and then whups ate some of the pizza at the bowling alley. I ate two slices of of pizza and then because there was a lot more food than we anticipated - the toppings off two more which at least were low carb. According to fitbit I burnt about 1700 calories at the bowling which I'm not sure.of at all but may be a very condemning picture of my fitness level. I ditched the work night out after bowling. I hate the bits of a work night out that are trailing from pub to pub and there are too many of you to fit in any pub anyway and then as soon as you've found a space someone is like let's move on.

Got in and went to a late showing of the new Jumanji with my OH.

Wow the food sounds lovely - didn't know you could get a vegan egg? :)

Was Jimanji good?

Our Christmas do was last night but I decided to stay at home - as my fab deskmate says: "It has to be something very special to get me out on a cold and rainy Friday night!". Amen to that, sista :D.

The vegan egg is a miso coconut jel with a siracha mayonaise (veganaisse?) style sauce as the yolk. It's one of those visual trick type stuff. But really nice.

I really enjoyed Jumanji - I tend to like anything with the Rock in - it will never be great cinema but you will be entertained.

Haha I normally bow out of the department Christmas work night out but I like bowling :)

4lbs off despite the pizza slip up. I only ate one meal on Saturday as i did a long intermittent fast. But still pleased with that and back to work with cheesecake and bacon but only until Wednesday as I'm breaking up for xmas then. (Haven't managed to use much leave rhis year so taking a big chunk over the holidays) I have tentative plans to join the Hilton pool temporarily as they have a 12 days for £12 deal and then I will decide properly which pool yo join in the new year.

Woohoo well done on the loss, that is really fab for December!

What are you doing for your big break? Think I might take Monday and Tuesday off next week, so i can finish Friday :D.

I was so pleased with that given the going out even though i tried for one of them to pick good options.

My plan is to lie on my couch and read my kindle for the whole break. And go to the pool occassionally i suppose :)

Sounds perfect - mine is much the same (minus the pool lol).

I've got a keto book for you and the almond flour, forgot to give it to the lady at work, so they are yours again if you'd like them? I;ll see how the weather is next week and maybe drive over, will give you plenty of warning :).

I've not yet made the pool but tomorrow for sure. My oh got stuck at work on Wednesda y and we ended up going to a 3.40 am showing of star wars as we missed the midnight showing and we were impatient to see it. But wow what a bad idea, its messed up my sleep schedule and I've had a low level headache ever since. Then today I ate a mini mars bar 13 g of carbs and then had a stomach upset.

But that would be great Suzi it would be great to see you. I will pm you my phone number in the morning.
