Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Home from the opera - which was lovely.

Orbs is looking and behaving lots better, omg what a relief, especially as I think it's my fault. I tried to apply Frontline about a week ago but she squirmed and it went everywhere except on her skin, and she was still scratching like mad at the fleas - so I applied another one two nights ago - and must have nearly poisoned her! It has to be that, it's too much of a coincidence. I have been wracked with guilt for the last two days. Never going to use the stuff again.

She's jumping down from things much easier now and has started climbing after flies (a favourite habit) and miaowed as I came in for Dreamies - so she is definitely on the mend. Can't imagine life without Orbit...

Foodwise, good for me too - very low on cals today, might even treat myself to some crispbread with Philly yum. I had the rice in some thick carrot soup for dins before I went out - OK, they bulked it up a bit, but not sure I'd buy lots more. Am looking forward to the fettuccine though mmm :)

Right, I'm off to bed. Sleep well cherubs xxx

That's brill new Susie, hope you have a good time at the opera too :)

So glad she's okay - and it may not have been the frontline - they have to assume that animals may consume some so I really doubt you poisoned her with it. Cats just get sick sometimes - you don't know what she eats when she's out, or what mucky puddles she drinks from. The important thing is she's feeling better. Don't beat yourself up xx

Eta: when I apply it I either do it while they're napping or get them between my legs and hold their scruff.

Awww thanks hun, I know she chews on all sorts of unmentionables that could have been the cause of it - it was just so frightening, not knowing what to do - and all my local vets close at 6pm and have no out of hours numbers. What on earth are you supposed to do then?!

And good advice re the Frontline application ML!

Another reason to move out of London, I think service stuff like that will be easier - what do you non Londoners think? Have I just made a sweeping assumption?! :)

A UD for me today and I am full as a bull - been very carby today but my appetite has definitely decreased, couldn't finish anything! DD tomorrow and WI on Sunday (so I can have a UD on my work birthday bash next Friday). Don't know if I've have lost much, if anything, but am still enjoying this woe :D

Will be on later with a glass of something at my elbow, will catch up properly then xxx

Thank goodness little Orby is ok. There should be a 24 hour vet in London, we have some in our sleepy little village set up.

I'm not weighing in until next weekend way too many cal on my UP day from wine so I've stopped having it again, so should lose something next week.

Good luck with WI. x

Thanks hun - am at home, with the little Orby beside me on her favourite chair.

She still isn't hopping madly round the place - but is eating like a buffalo and no poo/upchuck, so I'm feeling a bit more relaxed - maybe it is just a virus and she is going to need time to get over it. Stop analysing her every move, Suze!

Foodwise, I feel sick - ate too much, all bad stuff, and - sorry about this - but could really do with a walk in the park right now :D

Have a vino on the go, and my left palm is really itchy so am about to go buy lottery tickets! :D

Hi Susie. So glad Orbs is feeling better. I go doolally when Dex isn't himself. He is a hay fever sufferer like his mummy so gets swollen lips and sneezies sometimes. I was freaked out for ages till we figured it out. Poor thing already hates the vets so much.

I'm good thanks hon. Just feeling a bit under the weather today. I am seriously depleted of energy and just feeling bloated and fighting terrible indigestion. I think another trip to the quaks are in order. Something just isn't right.

Have you got any plans for the weekend?

I am the laziest woman ever - so am going to follow my instincts and do nothing :D

Got nowt planned for tomorrow, will trial the miracle fetuccine. Sunday, my lovely foot doctor is coming to gossip about his mad gaydar life and shave acres of skin off my feet. TMI? LOL

You?

Sounds like you've got a great time ahead. Doing nowt is something I specialise in so we can share the laziest woman in the world accolade.

I firmly believe that every woman should have great gynae and an even greater chiropodist that she can trust. I don't get my feet out for just anyone.

Sunday lunch with in-laws planned and tomorrow weather depending I plan to take my SD to the local summer fair.

Nothing else really.

Evening hun, just been reading your diary, so pleased lovely orbit is better, what a worry x

Glad to hear Orby is better, what a worry.

Love the sound of your day. I'm working :( so will come home and have a nap. Unless it's sunny which I highly doubt.

Oooh let us know how the miracle fettuccine is. I ate some shirataki noodles last night, same batch and use by date and they were not fishy at all, what is going on?!!!! x

I've never had fishy shiratake. Mine are all from zero noodles. Had some from LCM once but the zero noodle ones are less chewy. How odd that your batch vary so much.

Afternoon all

Lazy Day Mission well in hand - slept in until midday - but we did all stay up very late!

So, it's a very gentle DD day in front of the tellie for me today - with lots of water and courgette soup mmm :). WI tomorrow, gosh only knows what it will say after last night's wine intake...

Sx

Good luck for WI tomorrow. Had a sneaky peak myself and sts which is good considering the amount of food, wine and crisps I had this week and way over cal on my UP days. I'm finding I actually look forward to my DD. :)

Will look for zero noodles thanks ML. :)

evening Susie... was lovely talking to you last night. Hope we meet up soon. Either this week or for your birthday xx

Evening Susie, didn't know Orby was poorly, am getting so little time on here these days :( glad she is on the mend now though xxxxx

Good luck for wi tomorrow xx

Morning all

Am up at sparrows this morning, waiting for my Tesco delivery, which will probably come right at the end of the hour slot - but at least I'm up!:)

WI - I sts'd this week, which (like Val) I'm pleased about because I overdid it on one or two UDs; and really had the munchies badly on yesterday's DD and went well over my allowance - more focused this week. Evenings are the worst for me, I want to graze on everything!

Morning Susie xx well done on sts! Xxx
