Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Good afternoon LadyFel (and everyone lol) I ordered the Da Vinci banana, as I love anything banana flavoured. Can't wait to make ML's cinnamon and banana almond cupcakes! I think it would also be nice to just mix into a glass of milk for a banana milkshake! I also bought the orange, to put into chocolate cakes as well as cocoa bark. Shame the one carb ketchup isn't back yet though!

I can also vouch for psyllium husks, I've never walked so regularly in the park in my life lol.

LOL absolutely! Alas the zumba will have to wait until I lose a bit more and get the walking plan underway, otherwise it might kill me :D
Lol, it did me when I first started going..you'd be surprised how quickly this improves! But I do think walking is a good way to get going with exercise, and its a great de-stresser :)

I too struggle for ideas for breakfast, someone in the recipe thread said they cut a slice of low carb swiss roll every morning to eat which I quite like the sound of...but if you're looking for savory, what about putting aside some leftovers from dinner? Or I've been eating two soft boiled eggs every morning, as they're very fast to make and eat..protein shakes are even better for breakfast on the go, especially if you have a shaking bottle..but can be very sickly if you have them every day (as I have learned lol).

LadyB xx

Well now I'm regretting not ordering the banana! I have banana flavouring though which is what I use in my cupcakes, so I went with things I didn't already have flavourings for. Mostly I just use them to flavour my alpro drinks and my almond cakes.

I wouldn't possibly have been able to do Zumba at my heaviest, either. My knees would have given way and I'd have been in agony.

Of course I can't do it now either due to bone and nerve problems but it does look like fun. Walking is great though. I had to relearn how to walk a couple of years ago after a few years on crutches/in constant pain and now I'll never take it for granted again.

Hi Susie hope your ok and managing the breakfast situation. Just wanted to share holland and barretts slimatee with you it's only a few quid a box, makes a nice drink in evenings and works a treat for the park. I have one every night and can swear it helps with losses too x.

Evening
hope you've had a Lovely day.
Ive finally ordered the chocolate flavour syrup and the BBQ sauce, I'm wishing now I'd have bought some off the other flavours after reading the posts on here! X

Thx honey I have some Slimatee and you're right, boy does it work! :D - But the spinach has done the trick (and I just had some more, so all will be well lol). Dinner had, scrumptious actually, I mixed the spinach and mushrooms with some Alpro cream and wholegrain mustard - delish!

I must say, I do love the air of positivity on the forum at the mo, I feel it too - so lovely to share such a great mood with like minded, clever and good looking women :D

The agent has been, thinks the flat is worth about £155K - so we shall see what happens next. Now I just need to be patient - and we all know how good I am at that....

Finally broke my alcohol abstinence tonight, that made 17 days, not bad for someone who glugged regularly :D

Later - right, tomorrow sorted - flax bread made, bacon and eggs cooked, and chicken salad ready to go. Also finished the dinner, I'd left some, then after reading all the posts here, with all your lovely food ideas, I felt hungry and hoovered up the rest - even though after a mouthful I could feel I was full. What an idiot...

Morning all

Urgghh awful night's sleep, too hot too cold, bad dreams, it was a relief to finally get up!

B - bacon and eggs and flax toast with butter - lukewarm but it'll do :)
L - chicken salad
D - roasted pork belly strips with cauli mash

Wrap up warm!

Morning suse,

You were not alone last night all the lovely food talk yesterday made me go into my emergency stash of bars for a sweet fix! Still atleast we didn't break diet x. Good news on the flat situation hope all goes smoothly with that. Have a good day x.

Morning :) Good luck on the house hun hope it all works out :D
I so need to make this bread!! Im so rubbish at cooking though, is it easy?

Ohhh yes wrap up warm it is coldddd out there xxx

Morning Susie!

Hope the flat situation works itself out. I would have thought the landlord would be quite keen to get an offer from the person already living there given that the sale would be so simple - no chain to worry about for starters!

What would you want to do to improve the place if you owned it?

Wouldn't that just make life so simple!

I would move a non supporting wall forward a bit to create room for a bath/shower - I've just got the teensiest shower cubicle, every time I move i hit the shower handle and get a blast of cold water!

I would also look into moving the front door, which would allow me to extend the kitchen by over four feet - which, when it is tiny to start with, is a lot! :)

But it's really early days yet. The owner might think the valuations are too low and decide not to sell OR he might sell but not to me OR he might agree to sell to me and then the surveyor sees the knotweed in the garden and refuses a mortgage....

Well it has been a Manic Morning! We were in the Independent today - Universities told to woo primary school children - Education News - Education - The Independent - and I've just lined up the boss to do a radio interview about it tomorrow morning. Phew, might try and sneak in some lunch now!

It must feel like you're in a constant state of flux with all the house stuff, Susie. Has the landlord even told you directly that he's selling, yet?

Have a good day, lovely.

Nup - but apparently he doesn't have to, officially. He could just be testing the market - he did this before the Games last year but didn't get anyone interested in buying the four flats he owns as a job lot - so maybe he's thinking of selling them off individually. Who knows?

Threaten to become a difficult sitting tennant :D

Haha not sure I would have the gumption for that Lisa :D And the law has changed, he can give us notice beforehand if the buyer wants vacant possession (I checked with the agent last night).

I just need to keep remembering my 2013 motto - all for an easy life - so no mad stressing about flats and what might or might not happen.

Although I've just re-read those words and thought "yeah right" :D

At home after a great day - more media coverage for our community work - hopefully in the Sunday Times!

So busy but good. Just finished my bacon and egg flax sandwich that I couldn't finish this morning, and got half my lunchtime salad to follow :)

Just 1.2lbs down for me this week - but that's fine, it's all headed in the right direction.
