Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Oh, wrap up warm. Well done on the lb...it all counts.

Well done on getting a loss, Susie - there's often a week or so with no loss at all in the early days, so a pound is fine :D

Mind how you go in the snow, hun xxx

Thanks all for the kind words - I was more or less on target this week, but maybe my carb tolerance has gone? I did have a little wine, plus the accidental consumption of oats, S&S and natural ketosis products., so I'm happy with the pound. I'm now officially a long distance runner in my approach - so slow loss is good loss :D

Filming is not at all glamorous, especially on days like today but is all done now, happily, until Part 2 next Tuesday - and I'm back indoors.

Also forgot to mention I have sprained my wrist - a Monaco grand prix racer disguised as a London bus driver slammed on the brakes at my stop and I put my hand up to stop myself from falling over (unlike an old lady who went tumbling down the aisle, poor thing!) and I've pulled something. Was really sore last night and now my first aid lady at work has bandaged it up :)

We've had really heavy snow all morning here in Worcester, and it's still snowing. Can't drive or get out at all. You are lucky to be escaping it ;).

There is often a slow week or two early on - but a pound is nothing to be sniffed at and you will definitely have a woosh soon. I do suspect the oats and S&S stuff probably stalled you just a little, your body probably needs a bit more time to really get settled in ketosis before trying experiments - but you still lost! 1lb a week = 52 a year after all.

I hope you're managing to stay warm somehow. Oh how I hate the cold. Pretty but evil.

Well done hun on the loss :)

Ohhh film crew eeek so exciting lol xxx

Well done Susie but ouch on the wrist. Been snowing here since early morning. I made it to work for a couple of hours but decided to leave - the site was being shut anyway as the long winding drive was almost impassable by 10.30. Drove home at 12mph in 2nd gear all the way! Fortunately I still have my laptop so can keep things running from home :D

Well done on your loss! Sorry to hear about your accident, I hope you and the old lady were ok? It's frightening on the buses sometimes especially in bad weather, they drive like mad men!
Have a good weekend x

Evening all

Wrist is feeling better thanks (mad effing bus drivers, they forget who they are working for sometimes) and the day was a bit like school camp, everyone looking out the window at the snow and excitedly chattering away about sledging home :D.

A couple of pics from where I work in Greenwich, very pretty in the snow -

But then I got home and decided to change my laptop background screen to this :D

Wow, you work there?? What a spectacular building and gorgeous with the snow..we haven't had a single flake down here and I'm hoping we'll avoid it altogether..I hate having the fear of death every time you get in the car or walk on the pavement..and it's soo cold!

B xx

Afternoon all

Yes Lady B I work in the first building, if you've seen Les Mis you might recognise it from the "Can you hear the people sing" bit :)

No plans this weekend, might catch up on some reading.

B - bacon and eggs - honestly, could inhale another plate! (but I won't)
L - chicken wrapped in bacon with a cheese sauce (Tesco fresh and easy range, 1g carbs the whole pack :))
D - more chicken. maybe curry and cabbage

Have a great afternoon all!

Les Mis was amazing, went to see it a few days ago. Loved the stage version too. That's a beautiful place to work, nice building.

Had a very lazy afternoon - a bit of a read, and a snooze with Orbit - who is being very sweet about my wrist and keeps licking my arm just above the bandage awww :)

Now got chicken and garlic mushrooms cooking in the oven (smells gorgeous!), with roast butternut mash. Might follow that with jelly, if I have room :)

Also made some almond bread ready to be toasted in the morning and layered up with cheese, bacon and egg - YUM! :D

I love garlic mushrooms, especially with a dash of double cream and some Stilton thrown in!

I'm having an easy day/evening too, but TV looks rubbish for tonight...will I really have to resort to the Simpsons movie????
