Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Morning all

Back on the l/c straight and narrow today, although the fridge is looking a bit bare, so it's not completely clean and green.

B - low carb wrap with bacon and cream cheese
L - salami and salad
D - lamb and cabbage/leek saute

Have a good day, all :)

LOL maybe middle of the class :D But thanks all, the support is most welcome.

Another busy day, but really good, got lots done, so am now home and able to put my feet up.

Hope you all had a good one!

Well it's bad news and good news!

The bad news is there is Japanese knotweed in the garden. The good news is it's only 2-3 stalks so as long as there's an order placed with a specialist firm, then the finance should be OK.

Still a few hoops to go through yet, then! :)

Just catching up :) hope u well and boooo to the super busy days at work!!
What in gods name is a japanese knotweed??? Xxx

Ooh gosh. Off to the garden to hunt for knotweed...

Hope you get rid of it ASAP!

Evening lovelies - home already yaye!

The knotweed has to be taken care of by a specialist firm - you can't just pull it out or its nasty rhizomes spread even worse. The landlord rang and started shouting that he refused to pay - but then he talked to the specialist firm (on my recommendation) and now understands that he can't just send one of his workmen around to dig it up, that it needs to be sprayed with toxic ickies four times a year - so I have to clamber through the brambles tomorrow and take lots of pics so a report can be made and a quote sorted.

And then maybe we can get this mortgage sorted, and THEN I can get the life plan back on track :D

I did warn you my life was a soap opera, didn't I? LOL. Like everyone else I guess...

Having a vino while I wait for the girls to come round - big night tonight, with two friends I haven't seen for yonks (I've just reverted to teenagerdom - can't cope with all this grown up stuff!).

Greesh you do get put through the ringer Susie. I hope he didn't shout-shout at you. I can't and won't deal with being shouted at by men.

He was a bit shouty (I don't like it either) but that's because he doesn't like spending money - and he calmed down once he spoke to the expert and realised it would put selling all the flats at risk if he didn't get the weed fixed properly.

He was no worse than the idiot at work I had to deal with this afternoon - shouting (and waving his arms!) about how we hadn't sent out an eflyer about his poxy concert - when he hadn't given us the information! I sent the politest email - the boss was so proud of me, I can be known to shout from the hip sometimes lol - and Idiotman then apologised profusely and we got it sorted for him. Quite a triumph LOL.

Afternoon all

Hugging a cup of tea after an hilarious night with three best buds who are visiting from Oz, the last has just left my place to go and cause havoc and mayhem elsewhere lol :D

I was bad on the wine but good on food, completely l/c, I even took mayo with me! :)

Hope you're all having a good day.

Afternoon LadyFel! Glad you had a good night out and well done for sticking to low carb choices! Wine is my Achilles heel too..absolutely love it and since over-indulging at Christmas, have been oddly craving it at times lol. Ooh dear!

So sorry to hear about the knotweed, hopefully because its a smallish amount it will soon be vanquished!

You mentioned low carb wraps in your post earlier, are they bought wraps or homemade? I've bought them from LCMS before, but I think it was ML who told me to avoid low carb substitutes made with wheat flour as they are.

Weigh in tomorrow! I'm avoiding all fibre supplements and MIM's today to get the best possible result lol.

Batty xx

Morning all

Was suffering a bit (a lot) after my girls' night out on Friday, so am now catching up with all the housework - how glamorous! :)

Batty - they are the bought LCM wraps, which can stall some people - but they are also very handy for work, especially when I have a nuts week.

Not a great WI for me this morning, 2lbs on - but that's not bad considering it has been a real carb and wine week - so back to C&G!

Hey LadyFel! Don't worry, 2lbs of water weight should drop off in a couple of days :) I'm holding you to your clean and green plan missus :p

What about making large Oopsie rolls to wrap your chicken etc in? I quite like sausages and ketchup wrapped in Oopsie :)

B xx

Hi Susie, what a pain about the knotweed - that stuff is evil :( And to think, the only reason it's here is because the Victorians imported it thinking it would make a nice, decorative garden plant  - little did they know!

Pity about the gain this week but sounds like you know why, and what you have to do to rectify things - good luck with the C&G! xx

I made oopsies a couple of times and they were disgusting, perhaps it is something we are doing wrong as others seem to love them! I'm glad i'm not the only one who hates them ;).

Good luck with the knotweed, good that it's been caught early!
