What do the meals look like? and what can you with them?

He told me that it was ok, it was just higher calories but ok once in a while. It also means that if I am out for a meal I can ask for a grilled steak with salad (no dressing or chips) so at least there is something I can eat, ok I will prob have to pick through the salad...and try really hard not to eat the tomato!!!.

I had 100g the same as the other and it did not knock me out of ketosis.

I really love the red fruits shake, has anyone successfully made ice cream out of it? if so how?

Wonderful thread -- I just read through some of the postings.

For those you that are miffed the S and S site if out of stock on the lemon bars -- you can get similar ones through the Avidlite site.

Are you having a meal with your salad? I tried the chilli and lettuce 'taco's' and can definately recommend them, put a bit of salt on my lettuce first and it was great. plus the plate looked huge so I was visually full. I've bought a load of allowed veg today and as I work late and struggle to find time to go shopping I've chopped them, weighed them into 200g bags and popped them in the freezer so I'll have no excuses so cheat when I get in from work.

Thats a brill idea... i thought about doing this

Mushroom pasta with extra mushrooms, chicken & salad

Just tried the porridge biscuits. Really quite nice could do with a bit of something in them - any suggestions?. Would be lovely to take to work- do they keep?

I had the oatmeal cookies tonight... thought they were ok. Wish they were a bit harder tho so maybe I didnt make them right? I would love to try a but of nutmeg in them.
I made them with 3 teaspoons of boiling water and baked on greasproof paper for 15 mins at 140o.

I think this thread is so helpful :)

Best thread in the world! I'm going to try the oatmeal cookies and let you know how they trn out. I used to make chocolate muffins in the microwave with the crispy choc pack. It's been a while but will post when I make it again.

When I make it, il post the exact amount but from what I remembered I used a few tsp of water and mixed into choc pack into a very thick paste (go easy on the water). Then, I put the mixture into a ramekin and popped it into the microwave until it rises a bit. Just keep watching it. As soon as you open the microwave door, the cake will fall but it's still nice.

I also form a cookie out of the thick chocolate and vanilla pastes onto a baking sheet and bake until mixture turns hard. You can do it in the microwave too and let it cool for a few minutes. That comes out good.

Just wanted to say thank you to you all for posting the pics and ideas, I have been lurking for a couple of days and its really helped me with my first big S&S order.

Yum !

OMG....THIS THREAD IS AMAZING! So many wonderful ideas, I reckon it will really help me stick at this :)

I'd buy these!

For lunch I had vegetable curry made out of Cauliflower, mushrooms, vegetable soup pack and curry powder. It was really nice :)
I used 1tsp curry powder, about 100ml of water into the veg soup pack but you can use less or more depending how thick/runny you want the "curry sauce". Boiled the cauli and mushrooms then poured the curry sauce over them and mixed it until all was coated.
Sorry no pic phone battery didn't have enough charge to allow pics to be taken.
