    Sausages

Hiya, the sausages and burgers, the mince too, all of them don't leak a bit of fat. Very healthy. Sausages don't contain any breadcrumbs either. I'm not synning them, no. Enjoy!

New to MiniMins - not new to SW!

Hi Poppity, yes that is common, especially if you are exercising/training too. I've learned to look at how my clothes fit and to get the tape measure out, rather than think too much about the number on my scales. Sounds like it's going well for you!

    Sausages

I've been to Frank Parker's in Nuneaton today and stocked up. I know butchers' sausages and burgers aren't syn-approved anymore, but the team at Frank Parker's were really helpful in talking me through their low fat sausages and the recipes. Polished off the first bag with my husband when we got...

New to MiniMins - not new to SW!

Loaded up Minimins to find I haven't posted in my diary for over 2 years. That would explain why I have put all the weight back on. I've been on SW again for a week, and went for my first couch to 5k run at lunchtime to burn some extra calories. I've switched my pill as my old one stopped my...

Oh wow, I've hit my target weight - lost 5kg, so 11 lb, through calorie counting and exercising once or twice a week. Now 62kg from a 67kg start at 5 foot tall. BMI likely still overweight though, pah. 1480 calories a day, adjusting downwards for lazy days and only eating some of my exercise...

    WHATS YOUR BEST TIP??????

Hello, I'm a chemist - please ignore whoever told you to not drink squash but only plain water. Water molecules are water molecules whether they are mixed with no added sugar squash or a teabag. You're more likely to drink more if it tastes nice too, so use the squash. Hope this helps.

What do you have as an evening snack

I've been having frozen mango pulp, it's kind of like a sorbet. I have 100g which is about 100 calories. In Tesco, the mango pulp is in a big tin on the world aisle.

    Pancake day PANIC!!!

I make these in a blender using the milk option. I use about a 6 inch frying pan, plenty of frylight. Takes a bit to work out the right heat to use but they are honestly as near as damn it to real pancakes. http://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/american-style-pancakes

I've been having some success with combining SW, calorie counting (thank you My Fitness Pal) and exercise (thank you Daily Burn, but not daily!!). Keeping the calories down most days means the odd blowout doesn't matter so much. It's so hard to fit exercise into a busy day, work is so busy...

Extra Easy Week one and 1lb gain :(

This is not too much food, no. Can I ask if you shifted from another diet to SW, as this can cause a small gain initially or a delay in losing. Well done! You shouldn't put the weight back on unless you veer off the plan considerably. You can keep the weight off by keeping going with the healthy eating. Once you feel you've lost enough, you can switch your eating to help you to maintain your weight - you can then get away with a bit...

I think salad is fine instead of veg. Just make sure you're drinking plenty of fluids and the weight will come off. Unless you're trying to lose only 0.5-1 stone as losses will be slower in the 0.5-1 pound region. Not everyone can lose multiple pounds in their first week, please don't worry.

New to MiniMins - not new to SW!

I've eaten so much today, but I'm lying in bed trying to go to sleep and I'm hungry. Hmmm. I noticed Kellogg's nutrigrain biscuits today - are just two of them worth using up a hexb or are they best avoided? Green day tomorrow, crust-less quiche already cooked and in the fridge :)

Thanks for visiting my thread! I think writing things down helps with remembering what was nice, what was worth all the effort to make and what sucked and should never be made again! Keep up the good eating you're doing :) x

Sian's 2015 restart - time to shift the weight once and for all!

Sian's restart diary - third time lucky! :-D I've decided to start my own thread too, might make me behave myself a bit more if I have to admit it! http://www.minimins.com/showthread.php?t=310254

Yummy bacon and cheese toasty just now with a kind of tomato sauce salsa-y thing I made from tinned tomatoes, garlic, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, tomato purée, stock cube, splenda and some herbs. Yum yum. Adapted for the husband with bagels instead of WW bread, best not force him to do SW!

Really pleased today that even with weight-wobbling, I'm 2kg lighter already. Going to be good today, yesterday was a naughtier day than I had hoped. Red day for me today.

New to MiniMins - not new to SW!

Hello MiniMins :) I'm new here, but very used to relying on SW to help me lose a few pounds now and then. I rarely stick at it, but I know it does work for me - better than starving myself on a low calorie diet, that makes me moody! I got married 18 months ago, and I put on every pound I lost...

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

I'm an old-fashioned alternating red and green girl, I learnt SW from my now husband who lost stones in the early 2000s. He's not SW-ing with me this time. I ate a bit badly today, but have flicked to extra easy and have got away with about 20 syns, not bad considering I haven't had more than 5...

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

As I'm only 5 foot, the middle of the healthy BMI would put me at the weight I was when I went to the gym 5 times a week and barely ate - this isn't likely these days! At the moment, I'm going for the top end of the healthy BMI range and will take it from there.

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

I need to set myself a reasonable target - I'm 33, and still think about the way I looked 10-15 years ago, but life changes. And anyway, wearing age 13 clothes at age 18 just ain't normal surely! I don't do stones and pounds, I'm afraid, but in kg, I was 67, got back from a walking-heavy holiday...

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

I'm doing SW from home - I'd never make it to every class. Can I ask in response to an earlier post, do people actually get booed at weigh-in, presumably if they gain? If so, ouch.

    Whats for breakfast?

I made magic porridge for the first time the other day, yummy. Husband was jealous! Really fancy pancakes this morning, but not enough time...
