Hi I am starting slim and save at the weekend but never done a diet like this before, so wondered what to expect and how will I get ketosis and how will I know when I am in it? Any advice and tips on what to expect and what will help stick with it would be great. I have done sw and ww before and...
had a few up and down weeks with the same 3 lb on and off.........and now back to within half a lb of where I was about 5 weeks ago!!! Planning to stay on the plan and get back to basics, writing everything down and increasing superfree.... Anybody have any other good ideas to stay focussed? Kx

Another question! I recently got caught out by the syns in onken vanilla yoghurt, don't want to make same mistake again! Does anybody know of any vanilla yoghurt that is syn free and comes in big pots?

well done everyone on your losses this week - I didn't make weigh-in, came home with migraine and couldn't get there :( so going to try extra hard this week and hope for a loss next week!
Well.....gone a little bit haywire this week, had a couple of days off work, a job interview, take away and wine. Just added up syns for week and from Tuesday am around 70 syns already! so attempting to repair the damage:

Tried to freeze a mint one to make ice cream a like :icecream: - left it in too long I think and got icey block :smiley1842:which I mushed gradually to eat!!! not sure I would repeat it as felt quite ill afterwards :jelous:

I started off really well on sw, writing everything down, counting syns religiously and gradually lost my first stone just before xmas,...since then I have lost the plot, started to think 'i know the plan' slipping in cheats, not keeping proper track and telling myself I am...
sounds good..wish I had known about these sooner :jelous:...we have been doing our kitchen and have had no oven for 3 months, making SW a bit of a nightmare, have become adept at slow cooker and george forman grill though lol :) and almost there now with kitchen thank goodness!

so glad to see this thread, wine has been my syns downfall quite a bit since starting sw..and the associated beer snax! Now using soda to make a longer drink and really not missing out or going over too much. Have managed to stay off the beardy beers though, which I was shocked to see syn values...

really struggling to get back on track
:sigh: after a 2lb gain over christmas - which I was okay with - tried to get back on track this week and gained 1/2 lb!! so disapointed :wave_cry:

syns for scan bran carrot cake?
I have just made the carrot cake - is it 12 syns for the cake including HEX or is that seperate? Also made the ferrerro rocher but used weetabix, the cake is gorgeous but not tasted the sweets yet - they in fridge :D

1 cauliflower in small florets
6 new potatoes cubes
1 very large onion
chestnut mushrooms
handful of lentils

shocked that this pastryless cheese and onion quiche - has thin pastry base.... is 13.5 syns!! OMG I had one the other day as really fancied quiche and thought thiss might be a healthy option. Should have checked not guessed - lesson learnt!:break_diet:

I did a quorn curry in slow cooker the other day, was fab, OH said it was better than a takeaway :D however I not had as much success with soups :sigh:

Has anybody else made the vanilla pannacotta from SW christmas ee book? I had a go yesterday but only had gelatine sheets and it turned out stringy - not pleasant. is this where I went wrong as followed everything else.:confused:
