Helping you set your recommended amount of calories...

Looking for advice gals.

Dan (on MFP) told me my cals to be 1600-1800. This is more than 1400, I did last 2 weeks and more than 1200 I've struggled to stick to for years.

This was based on sit down job, daily run-estimated sedentary.
However, today I did my run and spin class and then this evening a metafit class. Should I eat a bit more today for the not-included classes when target set. Cos today is, at least, lightly active. Proof being I can hardly walk!!!

Any advice appreciated.

Well stood on scales and another lb gone .. That's 3.6lb in January x

How long have you been doing it ..??
Are you being very truthful about your food ..?? Iv found that I gave more truthful and tracked everything x

Ok weighed and measured today. I've lost 8.8 lbs ans lost a couple inches too here my phtots progression from end of November

I have done a lot of loss gains since sugery in October but I now seem to be on a steady down (minus my Christmas whoosh) I have 8lbs till I'm back at pre surgery weight where I was very skinny fat. This time I'm building muscles and am going to be lean skinny! Size 12s watch out my butts going to fit in you!

11.3 Ali, I've not updated my current weight as I'm often on my phone and the facilities are restricted. But this 11.3 just jumped on over Christmas. Usually I'm easily 10.12-10.10 and aiming for low tens! Its just so frustrating, been reading this thread for a couple of months before I joined it (had tried JUDDD), and usually the Christmas weight gain is long gone by now.

I dont really feel much diff to be honest ;-{

I feel your pain! I was 10.10 last Summer and my weight entering 2013 was 11.10!!! I've only lost 2.5lbs in January but I'm determined not to drop down to 1200 cals as I want it to stay off this time ... so I'll have to take the scenic route ;)

How did you get on with JUDDD?

Its just not for me Ali, but lots of folk love it. I need to count cals-on my Up days I couldnt stop myself eating to much. To do it correctly ( I read the book first) its supposed to be alternate days which means either a Saturday or Fri/Sun are 500 cals days-and over time its just too restrictive for me. Plenty of folks on the JUDDD page try different things-double down days etc but I was also concerned if it was a good example to set the kids-as they asked if I was eating that day or not.
This whole more calls and bmr thing makes sense, BUT I feel its so slow (I even emailled Dan and he said 1600-1800) but that seems loads.

What cals you aiming for? And how active are you?

Hi .. Sorry been out and just caught up ... I did feel bigger before I lost .. In fact put weight on .. You have worked out a lot recently I think .??
Have you measured .. It isn't always about weight ... However I know how hard it is to pass that .! I still like the scales ..!!
Try weighing once a month .. I know again how hard it is do feel your pain ..
I was at plateau for so long .. Used to do Ww and cry coz every week is be the same .. Even on here cal counting I didn't really lose .. This is the only time I have lost consistently in a long time ..
You have to give it time tho . And slow weight bliss us the best ... I really hope it all works out fir you .. Coz I do feel your pain I was there for do so long xxxxx
