Lydia's New Year New Me Diary

Well done on a good week so far so good :)

Thanks hun x

1lb off this week very happy with that.

Hope everyone had a lovely easter! I did. I was supposed to only have 1 egg (from grandad) and mum bought me a book I wanted, but my lovely assistant at work bought me an egg then I won one in the raffle at grandads home, them some friends bought me a box of chocolates (which I shared with my mum). So all in all had far more chocolate than I had originally planned, so I am just aiming for STS this week and will be pleased with that. Easter only comes once a year so I wasn't going to make myself miserable by refusing all chocolate!!

Then theres the saga of the quiche!!! I always buy this great vegetarian magazine called "Cook Vegetarian" the cover had a lovely tart called Tomato and Goats cheese tart, they labelled it as "healthy" so I bought all the ingredients which were expensive - wholegrain spelt flour, goats cheese, ground walnuts etc. Then I decided Sunday morning to syn it so I knew what I was dealing with - stupidly and belatedly - guess what turned out it was 40 syns a slice!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Couldn't believe it, anyway, had it in anycase, Sunday and the leftovers Monday - it was gorgeous the nicest quiche I have ever made, but won't be making it again in a hurry!!!

Back on track today, got up at 5.15 am to do my Davina dvd (Superbody workout), did the superlegs section - 50 mins of pure leg hell if I'm honest LOL!!!

Hi Lydia
Quiche sounded gorgeous and obviously was - why is all the yummiest things so bad for us

Anyway well done on your pound loss too and back to it for lots of us this week xxx

Thanks hun, Its not look hopefully for a STS this week now!! I thought I would get some of the weight I had put on over easter, over the last few days, had a terrible upset stomach yesterday was up half the night, had a sneaky weigh in this morning (thinking - that'll help!!) Ive put on!!! Whats with that!! Clearly all the chocolate and that damn quiche has come back to haunt me LOL!!!

that quiche sounds gorgeous.. goats cheese anything is one of my faves, but such a shame its so bad for you! good luck for this week - i think you did right by enjoying your easter chocolate, and i'm sure with the rest of your week you will manage to get your little gain off :) xxx

I haven't had much time to read lately, still getting to grips with my Anne Boleyn book which is really heavy going (probably because its a biography rather than a novel). I bought a book recently called Bloodline which is about vampires during world war I, can't remember who the author is though! And I also bought Darkly Dreaming Dexter (as in the telly series Dexter). Really need to crack on and get through some of these books, the house is begining to look like Waterstones!!

Ive put 2lbs on :mad::mad: I can't say I'm surprised with all the chocolate I ate over Easter and that disasterous quiche (40 syns a slice!!!!), it was 3lb gain up until yesterday so guess I should be grateful to have gotten rid of 1lb, oh well, I did enjoy the chocolate but back to the grind stone now!

Hi

Sorry about the 2lbs :( Damn those cute little Easter Bunnies!!

Oh I love Dexter - brilliant programme. How's the book - what's it actually about? I feel a purchase coming on!

Twigs
xx

Its a little different to the series, the story runs slightly differently, but if you like the series you'll like the books, they aren't big so don't take long to read.

Had a really good walk today, 6 miles in 1 hour 26 mins so really pleased with my time, I pushed myself quite hard today. Going to do an 8 miler tomorrow, really need to step up my training now!

Started a brilliant book today called The Luminous Life of Lily Aphrodite! All about this women in Berlin from turn of century to WWI, thoroughly enjoying it.

Hi Lydia you'll have those pesky 2lb's off in no time with your walking - thats good going ;o)

Book sounds interesting hun, I've not picked one up for over a week, but i tend to do that read one after the other for weeks on end and then have a lull think i feel as reading session coming on ;o) x

Did 8 miles today, in 2 hrs 14 mins, kept a really good pace for the whole walk and didn't need to stop so really pleased with that.

Enjoying my book!!!

thats really good - i'm really unfit still and even with Lenny pulling me during the week, i was dead after an hour. how long is the moonwalk? x

Its a full marathon - 26 miles 384 yards!!

Off out for a meal with a friend tonight, going to Frankie and Benny's thought maybe the pasta arribiata would be my best bet, would only need to syn the oil and parmesan, everything else would be free and its one of my favourite meals so I won't feel I am chosing that just for diets sake!!
