made's diary

Ooo, no idea on that one MIE. Have you got any specialist places near you? I just stick to rose wine n bacardi/vodka atm.

can't help there, sorry mate.

Hi MIE, my mum made the faux shepherds pie the other night according to the IPD recipe and she said it was lovely. My dad went up for seconds! Good luck with it. X

MIE on reading about your fake shephards pie - guess what i had for tea!!!! It was yum!! Kinda made up my own recipe but was really tasty. Hope you have a good night matey n your guests enjoy it

did it have cauli as potato?

friday night a success. on the way home from work i thought i'd try the massive tescos next to ikea on the north circular road in wembley and i found michelob ultra. 2.5g of carbs per bottle compared to corona which is 8g.still not great but better and my mate was quite impressed with the beer too.and personally i think it's a pretty good BBQ beer whether you're low-carbing or not.the shepherds pie was pretty good too and yes jim it was cauli instead of potato.on thursday night my OH and me made 2 pies.one was carb free which was mine and one was a normal for everyone else.which was good for me as the leftovers of mine meant saturdays dinner was sorted out too.can't beleive how easy it was to make and i'll definately be making it again. i do have a confession though as i'm told we used beef mince so technically it was a cottage pie.

My family quite like the Atkins meals I produce mate so I don't bother doing a carb version. :)

and yes, it's lamb for shepherds and beef for cottage. LOL.

well i think the site was down yesterday so no posts on here in afternoon. yesterday had a bit of a set back as my uncles 50th suprise birthdayin a gastro pub with free bar.:party0036:+:7834:=:drunk:.but i managed to stick to relatively good meal as i had ham,egg and left the chips.
today i've had a fryup of bacon and eggs to counteract the budweiser fro last night.steak salad for lunch and who knows for dinner.

yes the site was down for a bit MIE. I was out on the raz last night as well. :D

Hi MIE, the lads in the stores here have a company team, they have their first game tomorrow, a lot of them play in Sunday leagues as well.

my mate just phoned me out of the blue to see if i could play. doubt it will be a weekly thing but who knows.i fell out with my sunday league manager last season and walked away at christmas and after playing every sunday morning (during the season) for 14 years i thought i'd miss it more but i just didn't.there's a new manger this year and i may go back.but i'll see how i feel. seems a shame as it was me and a mate who started the team in the first place 11 years ago but to be honest i'm the last guy from the original team left anyway and it's just turned into a team of 18year olds who just want to argue every week.

ah, don't think I'd enjoy playing with a bunch that young, not that I ever played footie anyway, I was a Rugby man.

I had a female friend who played rugby. Oh, the hooker jokes!

I bet, and what do women hold onto in the scrum. ;)

was overly busy at work yesterday so did'nt have much time to post. 5 aside football went well.in my team i was one of the younger guys (31) and we were playing against a bunch of 18 -21 year olds.you now the type who think they're something special with all the tricks and the swagger and the spikey hair and cockey back chat (their keeper especially). well at half time we were 8-4 down and these boys really thought they were mustard.end of the game we win 12-10 and so we give a little bit back, stuff like thanks for the 3 points lads etc.. and the goalkeeper who to be fair had a good game was still giving it saying how he p****d all over us."mate you lost conceading 12 goals, hardly man of the match i'd say". i love shutting these cocky types up.anyway yesterday was:
B:bacon and eggs
L:2 pork chops w/mushrooms and brocolli
D:chorizo omlette.
today will be:
B:smoked salmon and full fat phillie
L:2 pork chops w/ mushrooms and brocolli
D:maybe a chicken shiish.

oh yeah and i don't ache at all. and may have got a saturday 11 aside football team out of it too. which was nice!
