seriously considering slim and save - opinions and experiences please!

for dinner i am feeling a corgette and fennel soup?? maybe with few prawns ontop too?

i do love a good soup!

it was! used 200g of fennel and 200g of courgette + 800mls of water with a chicken stock cube. could only finish half, but was lovely and filling! rest will be my dinner tomorrow

how are things with you IWBTA?? Havant seen you around in ages :)
 
I'm good thanks, maintaining at 10st 4ish. Given up for a while- I was just so unhappy (unhappy with how I looked, unhappy with the diet, unhappy with not being able to eat etc etc) so oh suggested I stop for a while, exercise and come back to it when I am in a better frame of mind if I still feel fat. I stay on the forums, catching up with you guys and reminds me why I don't want to go back to stuffing my face, I never want to feel like I did last year!

You are doing really well, keep it up!
 
yes, frame of mind is key to this diet! defo take a break and come back when you're ready. you're very near goal now, arnt you?

another good day today. turned down an invite for a glass of wine with a friend and had a shake and bar so far (really liking the muesli ones). off to spend an evening with the OH in a bit, got my zero noodles and soy marinated prawns for dinner and a praline bar for later (naughty having 2 bars in a day). disappointed i cant meet for friend for her bday dinner tomorrow night, but i really need to keep this week 100% on plan and im eating out for mothers day next weekend.

finally feel like im 'properly' into the 11s now becuse i weighed myself after dinner and still kept under 12 stone. NEVER want to see 12s on my scale again.

hey LED, im good though not strictly on plan atm!

in the last few weeks work has EXPLODED, so im doing 6 day weeks and 12 hour days far more times than is reasonable!. have still lost a pound or two just because the work im doing is so manual (lugging 100 or more hospital files around constantly). but because im working at a hospital over an hour away from where i live, eating has been a case of grabbing a sandwich before falling asleep when i get home at 10pm!

we have a company day on the 20th of april and my cousins 30th the day before, so im aiming to be down a stone by then. im taking packs to work with me tomorrow, thinking i'll take an extra bar incase we have to stay late and i cant afford for my energy to dip when we have a mountain of stuff to do.

how are you feeling being back on it? hope its going well!

well technically my contract is still 3 days because i wanted to keep ti flexible, but the sheer amount that needs to be done has shelved that plan! its difficult because my job is to do actual testing in our clinics, but also sort out the big, long term projects like archiving patient files so our clinic can run without the need for paper notes. so i currently have 1600 files to archive (aka, find in the medical records library, bring them all to our office, tell the optom which files to do and then take the relevant photos myself (only physically possible to do 100 a day). then i have to travel an hour to our new clinic, do testing there AND the archive project there - 3000 patient files. plus my boss wants me to do adult education courses so i can become the company trainer because we are opening at least another 3 clinics by july!

i am the one that has to learn 3 different tests/machines, teach all the new employees and do the archive projects.

my OH is working flat out, but because he is senior management now, he doesnt get overtime, just an bonus. but hes done so much, our boss took me aside and gave me a special job - take my OH away for a long weekend and he will pay for it! (though i assume he means the company will pay??)

need to get back on the packs asap though, cos the work load is just going to get HUGE in the next few months. so jealous you're already 6 days in, how have you found it? harder than last time?

right, the OH's parents keep mentioning they may be booking a holiday for all of us to florida in mid/late may.

thats roughly 8/9 weeks. not really long enough to get down to my target weight, but i'll hopefully be roughly 10 st and the same weight i was when i met my OH, so thats a plus.

time to get serious.

day 1 over and done with and im in bed, hungry and sipping green tea!
 
thought id give a small update!

holiday is booked for the 12th of may! so to mix it up, ive been doing a 40 day type challenge since the 3rd of april (wednesday). been doing well so far and nicely back into the 11s, really really hoping to reach 10st 7 by the time the holiday comes around. firmly back into keto, so cravings arnt too bad, though i have had to run away when people were eating pizza etc and had to endure my lovely OH eating a magnum in front of me.

hoping to be mayyybe 11st 10 or 9 by my next weigh in on wednesday
 
met some friends for catchups yesterday. it was hard, but while they had milky coffees, cakes and verrrrry indulgent (mayo, olive oil etc) salads, i had a peppermint tea. also had to decline the offer of a girly night in with takeaway and wine, but needs must! my friend said she thought i looked slimmer (havent told anyone im dieting), but im not sure its true cos im pretty much the same weight i was when i saw her a month or two ago! even managed to go into a specialist sweet shop and buy the OH and my sister a surprise treat without getting anything for myself!

having a 'treat' meal of tuna pasta bake (tuna + mac and cheese packet) with swede chips for dinner tonight.

aiming for 11st 10 by weds weigh in - 2lbs to go!
 
still staying strong!

watching made in chelsea and have substituted my treat of wine with a cookies and cream shake. not quite the same, but very very tasty.

jealous of all the bloody marys they are drinking though!

i just keep thinking of myself on the beach, its enough to scare anyone onto the straight and narrow!

day 6 of my 40 day challenge and im 4lbs down, so im at 11st 11. hoping for maybe another half an lb by tomorrow :)
 
I think the same as I got holiday in sept and all the girls im going with wi be in a bikini so ive no choice I must lose the weight as we are going with a whole cricket team so loads of men too so got to look good ha ha at the mo id look damn scary in a bikini ha ha
