You say you would go back on a vlcd but what has happened every time you have done one. You also say you would know how to maintain the weight loss thanks to SW. But would you be able to stop yourself from over indulging once you got the taste for food again after a vlcd.

This way it may be slow but you are eating healthy food you enjoy and along the way learning portion control.:)
Food does taste amazing after a vlcd and knowing me and going by past experience I probably would not be able to resist going overboard :classic_eek:...It’s wishful thinking that I could do a vlcd and maintain:classic_frown::classic_oops:...and whilst this is the slow way...I know in the long run it will work out the fastest... I just need to give it time...
 
Wow! I've just caught up with your diary - you slipped off my radar somehow :classic_roll_eyes: you're doing well, so consistent and such lovely meals! I know SW's much slower than many other diets but you've almost completed a quarter of a year in an impressive way. I'm going to be copying lots of your meal ideas as I'm in a bit of a rut at the mo! Hope you're not too down about your wee gain - your food always looks yummy and on plan to me - you've done so well - I think most of us are surprised at WI occasionally - when that's happened to me when I've been on plan - I've been rewarded with a decent loss the following week - hope that happens to you.

Keep focused and try not to be too disheartened with the teeny gain. Are you eating enough calories? The reason I ask is that I’ve been logging my food in to MFP and I was way too low, some days only 900 ish and this is not good and can slow weightloss down. Just keep focused and I’m sure it will right itself.

I know myself that my portion size has been growing these last few weeks and nibbling when I am preparing food or washing up...old habits die hard:classic_frown::classic_oops:

I had my Easter treat yesterday as you can see in my post above above...in the hope I can shift it before weigh in next Wednesday:classic_roll_eyes:

I wasn’t surprised for I knew myself I was pushing the envelope...just relieved it was not more...sort of got away with it recently but the scales have caught up with me:classic_oops:...just disappointed in myself for wasting March and putting myself behind where I want to be.:classic_frown:

Starting again today with good intentions and I hope to have that pound off next WI along with one or two more...well, that’s the plan for this week:classic_smile:

I think it’s difficult to shake old habits, like you I’ve been nibbling when doing dinner or washing up etc, nothing to bad just teeny bits here and there. I think it’s just going to be a slow old journey and I’m mentally prepared for that as I can’t keep getting caught in this vicious circle. I’ve been saving nearly all my Syns for the evenings and this seems to get me through the day.

I caught myself a few times this week shoving bits in my mouth when I was clearing the table...that behavior was a real no-no, on a vlcd which I had stopped completely and it was only this last week I became aware that I was doing it again.:classic_frown:...

My consultant said to cut back on my Syns:classic_eek:...I told her I was finding it difficult to stay within my allowance.:classic_roll_eyes:

You are on top of it this time Diane...I do feel I am getting there myself and I think I have learned more this last week and now know better this week what needs to be done...it’s all good:classic_smile:.

You are doing brilliantly. We all have the odd week where we struggle. I had a few bad days last week but I've managed to get back on it now. I went out and bought some low syn treats which really helped as I had something nice standing by when the cravings hit. I got maple bbq kettle bites for 4.5 syns for the bag and Metcalfe skinny pop corn sweet and salt 3.5 syns for the bag.

Have you thought about upping your body magic? I've had a few bad days but managed to lose anyway by doing some body magic to try to balance it out (importantly it's Body Magic as penance when I've been bad not as justification for eating something I shouldn't!)

Keep up the good work....oooh and you have also made me really fancy mussels in white wine!!😋🙄
