Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

A really lovely delivery man from Mr Tesco has just been and the kitchen is now full of low carb goodies :). Pork, turkey, beef mince and lamb - plus some of the Birds Eye haddock fillets for £1 (can't remember who mentioned it - but thanks :))

Looking forward to cooking up a storm tomorrow :D Also got a lot of caulis, courgettes and broccoli, so looking forward to mustard cauli mash, courgetti spaghetti and Sadie's creamed broccoli :)

Oooh new taste sensation to report - just got my Nudo enewsletter - check this out! http://www.nudo-italia.com/olive-oils/extra-virgin-olive-oil-stone-ground-with-cocoa-nibs-pd-82.php

Are you officially starting then suse? We need some fresh meat on the forum! Lol xx.

Oil seems lurvleeee x. I'd get it just to keep the package after ;-)

Good luck Hun x

LOL Busy the Nudo oils are really lovely, especially the mandarin one.

And yes, I'm back on induction from Monday - got it all planned - b&e for brekkie, chicken salad and mandarin oil for lunch, and burgers and mash for dins :) - thanks so much for your kind wishes :)

Oooooooh susie, thanks for posting that link :) I'm going to have to try them out. Is there any carbs in them with them being flavoured? I love the idea of the sweet chilli Nd mint one phwar!

I love that feeling when the fridge is all stocked with low carb goodies, enjoy Nd I'm looking forward to seeing your editing induction menus Nd weigh loss :)

On the Nudie Link, does the caption to the picture of the man + tree mean he has never had an intimate relationship? :flirt2: chips x

TBH Lauren I don't know what the carbs would be - but you use such a little amount, I'm not bothered. I've tried a few now - mandarin (5*, love it!), lemon (lovely), chilli (lush!), basil (lovely), and thyme (didn't like it at all, sadly) - so am going to put an order in for the mint one - that's new too and it sounds wonderful, imagine it poured over a salad!

LOL Chips, it does look a bit dodgy but I happen to know he's the father of two :D

The Nudo story is a fab one - if you like books about people starting a new life o/s, then see if you can get this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Dolce-V...1375614078&sr=8-1&keywords=dolce+vita+diaries

Well kids the morning has just evaporated. I got up about 6, then went back to bed a bit later and woke up at 11am! I'm finding it very difficult to get moving today - think it's the carbfest that has been the main feature of this weekend. I know it's silly but I just can't bear throwing food out, or having carby stuff in the cupboards, so I made my last flour-based loaf of bread yesterday (will be gone by tonight) and the last bag of pasta, also demolished by tonight. It ain't half giving me a very upset tum - which is where more of the silliness comes in - why eat it when it makes me ill?

Woohoo good to have you back lovely Lisa (and I really want to hear about the Brennie weekend! :D).

I've just made a dozen bacon and egg muffins for brekkie, pleased with them actually, I added water, not cream, but they still fluffed up beautifully.

A tuna frittata is on the oven as we speak. Loving cooking up a storm again! :)

I had to taste test everything, naturally :D

The muffins will do nicely for work - and the tuna frittata is lush! Recipe on the Just Recipes thread.

Will try and update tomorrow whilst trying to avoid work ;) but in my job it will either take a few days if I'm bring conscientious or instant if I'm overwhelmed lol xx
Here's a taster

Ah Teeney so it was you told me about it (couldn't remember, senior moment again lol) - I got four packs, so will try one this week :)

My fridge is really heaving, not an inch of space spare - so need to get through some of the fresh stuff first.

I'm definitely going to get an undercounter freezer for the new place - and a vegetable drawer, I've got courgettes and cabbages all over the bench!

Tesco has been great for greens this week, cheap as chips :) hopefully my tesco will have more fish.

Good look suse, don't worry about the carbs, they'll soon be gone on induction. If anything you should see a big week1 loss and that should spur you on more x.

Morning all

And we're off - Atkins induction # 3 or 4 or - who knows, I've lost count! Weighed and measured this morning :)eek:) and got all my food for the day, which I'm just about to plug in to MFP.

I had two helpings of the yummy tuna egg bake thing (not really a frittata, when I think about it) last night and forgot how protein fills you up - so am not at all hungry yet!

B - three egg and bacon mini muffins, soya latte (I only have one coffee a day so am not giving that up)
L - chicken pieces, little gem lettuce, cherry toms, cucumber, mayo, mandarin oil (mmm)
D - tuna bake and sauteed spinach
S - 24 Deli cooked ham and cheese rolls - 2g per 100 and the whole pack (3 sticks) is 75g - so minimal carbs :)
W - 2 litres
E - walk at lunchtime

Can't wait for my tum to get sorted out, it has been feeling uncomfortable for days.

Hope you all had a good night x

Morning Susie, good luck with the atkins start, once you are on it a few days you will feel great, I love the sound of day 1 menu.
Any news in a move date for the flat?

Thanks Sammy - just had my muffins, they are really yummy cold :)

Re the flat, we are inching closer to a date, I heard this morning that we've just got one question for the vendor to answer, the contract has been received, etc, so hopefully will exchange in a couple of weeks. I hope it's soon because my flat is really starting to overload with all the bits I've started buying - eg, got the Ikea tap I wanted on the weekend, in Ikea £149, on eBay £25 yaye - love a bargain, me! :)

Looks like a good first day menu Susie. Good luck. Will post a pic later of my first breadmaker gluten free loaf. It is not a pretty sight! More experimenting needed I think.
