Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Thanks hun - really glad to be back tbh. I just need to get over the cravings for other stuff, but maybe I won't stay on induction as long as I did before and allow a few beans and yog in...but we'll see.

Well it's 10.30am and I haven't done a scrap of work . I'm normally very conscientious but today it's more meh...:)

LOL don't take it personally, Chipster :D I know you're not cheap - and will tell all my friends that too :D

Well I've just finished my two hour lunch, and I am FULL!

I was full after protein last night and this morning - but I do like grazing, rather than having three big meals - so I started nibbling on lunch about 12 when I felt peckish, felt full quite quickly, so left it and then went back to it about 2pm. I had forgotten how fab protein is at filling me up - after months on carbs where I'm ravenous an hour after eating!

The mandarin oil and mayo dressing was so yummy, so I've ordered more Nudo - including the mint one and the chocolate olive oil - which I was thinking might go well in a Mim (the choc one, that is) - any other ideas?

LOL why thank you kindly young missy :D

Made it to 4pm and I feel a little peckish - will have another water, onto my third lot of 500g, and maybe a herbal tea.

About this time of day is the beginning of my danger point - I'm not hungry but there's a little nagging sensation which tells me to eat.

Home - and really not up to eating.

TMI alert - My tum is still rock hard and there will be some gas-related unpleasantness to come, methinks :)

SOOO full, so dinner will become lunch tomorrow.

Thanks hun, all advice much appreciated - but I think it's just getting over the very carby last few weeks, combined with the gluten thing. I'm sure it'll sort itself out in a couple of days.

Anyway, got courgette hash browns cooking as we speak - think they will be fab with a chilli mayo sauce :)

Later - just tried one (be silly not to) and they are really nice, the courgette is soft and cooked. Be warned though, you need a fair bit of oil and they can burn quickly! I grated two (large) courgettes, mixed up two eggs with a dribble of water, poured over and mixed, then spooned in to a frying pan with hot oil in it. I got eight hash browns from this mix, about 8g carbs the lot. Not fab to look at so no pic.

Later still - just put a cheesy broccoli casserole in the oven. I've got so much fresh stuff to use up eek! I used this as the basis -

- but left out the onions and used the Tesco value soft cheese (a whole tub, the garlic and herb one). I also added a big bunch of spinach. Plugged in to mfp, it's giving me 21g for the entire thing - so 4 servings @ 5g each. Let's just hope it tastes OK.

Ah yes, the evil gluten, did u know the word gluten Latin for glue!? No wonder we struggle to pass it through our system!

Love the sound of the courgette hash Brown's, bet they were lovely! Let us know how courgette casserole works out!?

The broccoli/spinach casserole is lovely - I'm really surprised - particularly with the garlic and herbs :)

Not the prettiest to look at - but who cares :) I think the spinach and cream cheese on its own would make a smashing spanokopita...

Yep that's lunch sorted :)

Just realised that cream cheese would be smashing smeared over chicken and baked in the oven too...loving, loving, loving cooking again!
:bliss:
