    I don't remember THIS last time !

Last night, in the middle of the night I had sudden (and very painful) cramp in both my calves and today they still feel sore. With the last TFR stint (two years ago) this didn't happen. I am only 6 days in...any similar experiences anyone can share???

New here, day 6 of lipotrim

Hi Emz. I am a second timer, back today. I made it to goal weight two years ago and just back on LT for a short time as weight has crept up a little after having spine/back problems in the last six months. I am on day 3 so we are probably feeling about the same at this point. This forum really...

    Sugar free polos?

Allowed or not allowed to help the stinky breath? Nil amounts of protein, fat, fibre, sodium but 99g of 'polyols' (whatever that is ?!) Ingredients - sorbitol, magnesium stearate, mint oils Any dieticians amongst us?

First shake down... please tell me it gets better

We all have specific preferences. For me, absolutely no to the flapjacks...yuck. But love the vanilla ..280ml of cold water, 3 icecubes blended with a half spoonful of coffee drank through a straw. It was a breeze once I discoved my 'formula'. The first attempt at a LT shake was a plain...

    CBT - anyone tried it?

Think all people could do with free CBT sessions...have covered it in my own training and had some sessions myself. Nothing helps better than really talking about your stuff with a trained counsellor who is focussing just on you. Family and friends can often mean well but CBT consellors help...

    Struggling!

Hi. I am restarting this morning after a slight regain in weight over the Christmas period. I am going to do two weeks, I think. Feeling totally different to this time last year when I has a few stones to lose...the first week was sooooo hard...but am actually looking forwards to this...

January 2010 - Starting LT - whos with me

Hiya Pat. You seem on track for a big first week loss if you are already up to 7lb in three days!! I would avoid weighing yourself every day (but I know it is tempting as it is so motivating to see the scales move down every day)...you may appear to put on weight one of the days and, believe...

    Chapter Now Closed :D

Hiya Tanya! Having been away from the forum for months, I've just popped back for a mini-refocus (after some slap up Christmas nights out I am feeling bloated). I know exactly how you feel with the negative thoughts. My body image remains a little distorted even after months of...

    Thinking of a mini-refocus

Hello all. Could I have you thoughts on whether I should have a mini-refocus with Slimfast...(yes, I did say Slimfast, not LT) !! Reason being that I am maintaining but have had a naughtier than usual two weeks (main issue is white bread ...which I know I cannot do now) and feel bloated as hell...

    Hair Loss...

Hiya. Yup, happened to me and scared the B-jesus out of me. My sister (she is a hairdresser) came to my aid...she said it would stop when my head of hair thinned out but reassured me I would not go bald. She works in a hair loss salon and sees it on a daily basis and many quick slimmers get...

Summergurl makes an excellent point. I did LT nearly a year ago and do believe that part of the point of LT is to retrain your brain/ reset your palatte. I know Summergurl will agree that when you do LT almost to the letter over time, when you eventually refeed foods taste so amazing that it...

Has anyone done the two shakes/one meal method?

Hi Irish. I liked the 2 shakes method. It worked for me to lose remainder weight (but I did like the shakes which helps!!). I am still maintaining but after refeeding I had one or two returns to the 2 shakes method if I had overdone things one week. It is like an emotional crutch...

    o/t knee problems...just a bit of a rant

Hi Zayna. I am yo-yo ing around as I am technically maintaining...but keep stressing at the slightest bloating (as I have a really bad carb and sugar fix problem) and go back to a shake a day if I feel like I am losing control. Know I shouldn't keep relying on LT but having formed bad habits...

Does anyone know of a 'snack-type' bar that is healthy?

Hiya. I try and live by the protein highest rule now. I tend to focus on low carb and fat where possible. When I treat myself I just make sure it is an INFORMED treat, i.e. when you see 60g plus for carbs it does make you think twice about eating stuff..I just wouldn't eat something high in...

Hi Tanya. I am also still struggling with being off TRF. On one hand very pleased that my weight has now stayed the same for about a month (even with two short trips to Barcelona and Dublin) but I get urges/munchies all the time and hate that my tummy does bloat like it used to on and off...

    Am i doing it wrong?

Funny isn't it - in the 'old days' we would have seen 1,000 cal and no bad carbs as a crash diet. Amazing how our perpective changes on TRF. If you stick to this then you will lose weight but not the big 4-6lb losses I would imagine....but this will be better for your mindset in the long term...

I have mentioned in other threads that I spent the weekend in Barcelona. I ate three decent meals a day and drank wine and beer and the occasional pudding shared with one of my friends. I have been back 48 hours and forced myself onto the scales so I could assess the damage. I guessed I had...

I had to take fibreclear in all three shakes for about two days and then I was fine. Water intake also has a lot to do with it too. I still struggle and have to take Sainsburys own brand of whatever is in dulcolax every so often but don't like that feeling you get when it starts to work....

    Why Am I Even Bothering???

Abbie, it is so hard to be on TRF anyway but having something prevent you from getting on with it when you are focussed is double hard. I love Lipotrim but it is not ideal that we have to pay so much for it. I am guessing that GP can't prescribe it any more... Once you finish TRF you have to...

    feelings of guilt?

HI Natters, Guilt at least helps us be mindful of our eating. After being strict on TRF it becomes a habit and then takes a little while to 'allow' yourself to eat. Give it a couple of days you won't feel guilty...but it is hard work off Lipotrim and you still need lots of support. This...

I also never have bread now..it is all about breaking old associations. If I cave and have a sandwich then it is no butter and no dressing. Seafood is my munch hit (maybe I am turning into Posh Spice - I hear she just munches on prawns)

    Confused

I don't think the losses are even over seven days. I have noticed quite a few people being sad over a small loss 1-2 lb but then the following week it is bigger 5-6lb. I think the losses have 'fits and starts' which is why you only weigh once a week. Maybe monthly losses are more steady...

Having spent three weeks in Cornwall just after refeeding, my advice is this.... try and get towards the end of the week before that cornish pastie. Once you eat one, you may well have several more !!! The Chough bakery in Padstow is the best one, I think! Or the cafe at Daymer Bay :-)
