    Food for thought....so to speak

Its this thought that keeps me on track....is this food (that I'm not really hungry for) really worth another summer of hot sweaty sore body parts, or day to day hiding of our true selves and feelings??? I also think, I remember just what I was doing this time last year...I can't believe a year...

I hate it when the description is accompanied by gestures...so someone might say 'the big girl' at the same time as puffing out their face and extending their arms out showing a big body...i mean what's that all about??? Feeling down about my weight loss

Don;t forget when you have more to lose (I also have 10 stone to lose - well i did, I have 8 to lose now) the big numbers are great, but we want our skin to stand a chance to shrink back too so losing massive amounts quickly isnt always for the best - I think 10lbs in 2 weeks is awesome! 64. M

    I had a Tetra...

I empty mine into a pudding bowl, freeze to ice cream, then chop half a bar up (peanut crunch works well) and sprinkle over the top like an ice cream sundae! Great for Saturday nights with a DVD to feel like a treat :)

  68. M

Some input from you all :)

i understand completely - and coping this way does not make you a non 100% cd'er. like i said if there is the desire for a no food at all forum then it shouldnt have anything to do with being 100%...you can be both!
  69. M

Some input from you all :)

I agree - but mentioning food doesnt mean you are not a 100% cd'er.....otherwise there should be a CD No Food Talk Whatsoever Allowed sub forum and nothing to do with 100% or not....
  70. M

Some input from you all :)

Surely being 100% means sticking to the CD 100% - that doesnt mean you cant say 'my daughter was eating sausage rolls in front of me' but should mean you cant say 'i ate a curry and still lost 10lbs' or 'i came off the wagon and am struggling to get back into it'....doing something 100% still...

    Hmmmmm

If you think about this (and I say this as a fellow over 9 stone to lose minimin!) we have to lose alot of weight, so someone who has only 4 stone to lose is likely to see 2 1/2 stone off alot easier than us. We will notice it much more once we hit 3 or 4 stone and suddenly we'll see it. I bet...

Mine was laziness to cook proper food - so it would be cheese on toast, or cheesey jackets spuds in the week (with loads of butter) and takeaways on Fridays, and weekends of induglences! If I have a weak moment now I read the take away menu, imagine ordering it, eating it, feeling greasy and...

    Eatin' out!

Thats good advice! The tandoori chicken is dry (no sauce) and really tasty so is almost (almost) a ss+ meal. Sounds like you have the right attitude about being realistic that you may not lose etc. Have a good night, stick to fizzy water and hopefully it wont be too bad getting back to ss the...

Is This a complete NO No ??

Its worth hanging in there and having the bars after week 2. I cut mine up in a little dish and pick on them throughout the day - putting them in the freezer makes them nice and chewy so great for nibbling. Also, if you want to lose 3 stone think about this - by the time your work do comes up on...

    I caved in!

Aww it does sound like you are suffering...I have had a few days like this but normally a pack and lots of water sorts it out. My worst thing is weekly constipation which is agony so I have ordered the fibre stuff from CDC which I hope will sort it out. I've noticed sharp stomach pains happening...

    Help please!!

I agree dont do it! It is hard - I go to Guernsey every month with work for min of 2 nights. It always involves dinner (3 courses in great restaurants) cooked hotel breakfasts and buffet lunches. I also had to go to a hotel for the night and had to have a shake in my room whilst the others had...

    Fallen of the wagon

What drove you to the tuna?? Was it hunger, craving, worry about fainting etc? THis is a hard diet to get your head round after so many years of eating to suddenly say 'ok head, we're not eating anymore' is a hard thing to get to grips with! I have had a couple of mornings of lightheadedness but...

    This for me...

Thanks! I'll consider that - to be honest, i am nervous about eating....even though i crave food, i am nervous about how i'll feel when i can eat....i guess i need to get a grip lol!

    Bars...

doh, just re-read your post and its the first time you've had the bars so you wouldnt have seen any weight fluctuation - sorry! I should read things better!
  129. M

    Bars...

and you still having good losses....hmmmm....I will have my 1 every other day next week then (cos thats all i have ordered now) and then see as I miss chewing! it will be nice to have them cut up into pieces to snack on at night.....are they a decent size?

    Bars...

My CDC will only let me have 1 bar every 2 days incase it slows my weight loss - has anyone found this to be the case??
  132. M

    This for me...

Goolian - one weekend of eating to enjoy, but not binge eating, is fine! As long as you accept that it might be hard come Monday, and you might not have great losses that week and you mentally prepare yourself then enjoy. From some of the posts on here, most people seem to come off for a few...

I;ve started massaging in bio oil every morning and night. First meeting Fee

it wasnt £70 for one weeks packs, it was £70 for two weeks - just paid at once. I'm happy guys and thats all that matters
  147. M

    First meeting Fee

I just view the £10 like this - I had £10 in my purse on a Friday night. That would have normally gone straight into the chippy's till....I would have been £10 poorer and 1lb heavier....so yes, I might now still be £10 poorer but I am 12lbs lighter...money well spent whichever way you look at it...
  148. M

    First meeting Fee

I got 2 weeks supply for that £70, so thats less than the rest of you are paying isnt it??? I just paid it in one go rather than split as £35 two weeks running! I only pay £34-£37 a week....same as everyone else??
  149. M

    First meeting Fee

Yes. I first saw her on Saturday 14th June. On that day I paid the £70, and picked up a box of about 25 products, plus the shaker and the books etc. The following Friday I paid £34 and picked up 21 products, Friday just gone (27th) I paid £37 cos I can have bars from next Saturday onwards and...

I got the shaker in with my pack. Maybe my CD has had a bad experience so gets people to pay up front? It just means the last week I go I pay nothing for the following weeks packs. And I guess it means I am less likely to not go back! It would be better to have published guidelines tho so you...
  152. M

    First meeting Fee

I'm doing ss too - so am only on powders/tetras. The bars were only small pieces cut up (a piece of each flavour) and were ONLY for the prep week...I think perhaps as costs are not published it means that they have the freedom to charge what they like??I didnt even question it... :(
  153. M

    First meeting Fee

So it was £30 for the starter box - which was enough for 7 days prep week, plus spares, £30 for the next weeks full 21 packs, plus £10 admin/first meeting fee....someone else tell me they paid this lol???
  154. M

    First meeting Fee

Really?? I had a starter box which was basically samples of everything available, all the flavours of shakes, the bars, soups and water flavours. I had to use the pre week reducing my carbs and replacing 2 meals a day with a CD pack, then have one meal from the yellow book, plus a piece of...

Hi - it was for me too, think its standard. Its a one off charge so after this you dont pay anything else for the weigh in etc. The first weeks payment makes you gulp as its about £70! And this weeks weight loss is... (drum roll...)

Dont give up - you have done amazingly well! What has your CDC said? Offered any reason why it might have slowed down? Are you having the bars alot? I only ask as I was told these can slow down weight loss as some of them are higher in carbs than others and can kick you out of ketosis???

Guys can i have your help please

How about hot drinks? I really struggle to get the lumps out of the soups and tonight i tried the choc shake as hot choc and taste was ok but soooo bloomin' lumpy i felt sick drinking it!
