Made a lovely Pumpkin soup today - made 6 lots so loads in the freezer - 1.5 points a serving, going to have it tomorrow for lunch can't wait!!

Hi Lydia - what's in the pumpkin soup, apart from the obvious?

Also, do you make the toad in the hole yourself?

your day's food sounds gorgeous - cant wait until i'm back on points so i can have myself a toasted muffin!

also, Accessorize is the way to go! Love that shop - shame its so expensive and i'm so poor haha :) i love the Accessorize up here because its joined with Monsoon, so after looking at beautiful jewellery, bags and shoes I can walk straight into Monsoon and plan out the gorgeous dress I WILL be wearing at/after xmas :D

how are you anyway? getting back into the swing of being back at work etc? xx

Yes definintely back into the swing of things at work, really busy and loads of work to do, but am going to leave early again this week as was really tired by the time Friday came last week!

The toad in the whole is a quorn one, all ready done and only 4.5 points for half and its a big portion.

The pumpkin soup ended up serving 6 the receipe said 4 its

400g pumpkin chopped
1 large onion chopped
400g potatoes chopped
3 small carrots chopped
2 pints stock
1/2 pint skimmed milk
2 bay leaves
freshly chopped coriander
salt and pepper
Garlic

Fry in frylight the onion and garlic for 5 mins. Add all veggies and fry for another 5 mins add stock and bay leaves bring to boil and simmer for 25 mins.

Take out bayleaves then blender then stir through milk seasoning and coriander.

1.5 points per serving.

Looking forward to having it today, love pumpkin soup especially this time of year.

Got my weigh in tonight, I am pretty sure I stayed the same (according to my scales I have), a little disappointed but I guess that meal at Zizzis is still hanging around! Hope the new mag is out today.

Goodluck for tonight. You never know! :)

Good luck for your wi tonight hun, dont worry if you have another sts as at least it is not going back on,your not going without so i would still be pleased with that.
Sounds like you have a had a nice weekend?

How did the WI go Lydia?x

Oh the suspense!!!!!!!

That was meant to be in one of those "raising my hand to my face and looking all flushed and on edge" ways lol:eek:

Sorry girls, have been sulking big time - I gained 0.5lb totally gutted - gotta get myself into this otherwise I will never lose 14lbs for Christmas!

I thought you might have been lurking due to a gain. You have the metabolism from hell, I think - you always try so hard.

Good luck for this week x

It seems that way! My problems seem to have really started when I had the cyst on my thyroid 18 months ago, when I look at photos Ive put on loads since then. My thyroid levels are low but not quite low enough for thyroxine and I don't have a very sympathetic doctor when it comes to this, if my levels don't hit 0.50 then they won't give me thyroxine and currently its 0.51! Also the cyst is there still, it will always be there and the specialist said it would affect my thyroid function. If it haemorrages again they will take out my thyroid completely!!

Ive had bronchilitis, toncilitis and kidney infestions since then, then I get Glandular Fever so in some ways I think my body has been through a fair bit and its probably all over the place.

All I can hope is that eventually it will settle down and start shedding the weight it use to! Clearly I am not like other WW'ers in that my body doesn't allow me to get away with a meal out.

But I have to believe that eventually I will start to lose weight, I won't give up. I am sure that if I can stay well for at least 6 months it will all come right in the end.

Lydia I am sorry sorry you are not happy with your WI. It doesn't seem fair. You are trying so hard! I totally admire your determination though I really do. I'm sure you will be rewarded for you effort soon enough. We are all here behind you.

Loads of luck!

It does seem unfair that the doc won't give you thyroxine when there's only point one in it, especially as you are struggling to lose weight even when following a diet which is a classic thyroid sign.

Small consolation but I guess following WW has kept your weight under control and stopped it going up any more.

Good luck for this week x

sorry to hear about your WI hun - thats really unfair when you obviously try so hard all the time! Could it maybe be that after having a period of little exercise that building it up you are building muscle too? That might explain for your little gain - hopefully next week it'll show for you on the scales. Really hope everything goes smoothly for you this week hun xxx
