Hi Quins, how are you? I replied to your thoughts/suggestions on my page, don't know if you've seen it. I'm going to do E/E for another week and see how it goes, if I don't get a good result going to go back to my usual green with occasional red days :)

Hey Suzyflo, yeah I did pop in and have a read. I've added more red days and feel better for it. Not so bloated and not having to get up in tne middle if the night bursting for a pee! Deffo think the carbs on green aid water retention, as per the nutritionist advice at rugby club.

I have lost a pound , so one under target , but think I could lose a couple more , but not too worried.
Bumped into someone today, she couldn't believe how well I looked, she is always very glam, even when running or dog walking! I was made up.
Your menu plan looks great, shame that your not getting that 1 or 2 off per week. Really puzzling. Still , I think its the long haul that counts. Even if it's a pound a month . Keep the faith.

Might sign up to foxy_lox's we can walk 100 miles. Something to chip away at, until I can do a bit more .

How lovely it must be to have your own hens, I wish I had a country residence so I could have some. Don't think hens in the back garden would go down too well with the neighbours.

Suzyflo, hens in back garden can be done, they don't make a noise , unlike a cockerel.

Hmm, I'll have to have a think about the hens then if it's do-able in a garden.

How's it going, your food is looking good, I see that you're getting good bit of walking in - a much better effort than me! :)

I haven't tried the muller light mint yogurt yet, waiting for them to go on offer, the best I've seen so far recently is 4 for £2 - hoping morrisons have another 10 for £2 offer on soonish, fingers crossed!

Suzyflo there are forums out there with advice on keeping hens. We've got about 25 but on a small holding.
They do scratch the grass up if kept in a run, but if you none them around they will be ok. They eat grass, that's usually how you can tell a free range egg, the chlorophyl in the grass helps turn the yolk a golden yellow or orange colour. o ours free range during the day and put themselves to bed (roost) in sheds and runs. Lock them up to keep charlie fox away. Then let them out in the morning for a feed and water, off they go.

Walking fits into my day , to and

from station is 2 miles , sometimes go a longer route, plus coaching rugby.

Really have enjoyed red days, big salads and less carbs.
