Wednesday 16th June

Breakie - kiwi & ff from frais

Lunch (out) - salad of leaves, cherry toms, mushrooms, bacon & beef with vinigraitte but I suspect the meat & mushrooms were fried :(

Half an Alpen light bar.

2 little round bits of chicken & teaspoon of egg & bacon sandwich filler.

Tea - One pot 'stew', turkey mince, onion, passata, spices, carrots & new potatoes. Pear.

Work - Another dish of stew. A low calorie jelly (don't know what these are like but they're less than 10 calories so thought I'd give them a try) & a pear.

Where did you get them jellies jan?

Im thinking of getting some sugar free ones and making it up with some fruit set into it so i can have something a little sweet if i need it.

HaHa - the top one is practically life sized! :) x

oh, love jelly!! you have made me want some now, but idea of making your Tanya is good. A girl in one of the other offices does this.....she has lots of cut fruit and then has jelly on top! When I see it in the fridge I always want it! So, just remided me again!!

Good low fat sweet! mmm....and you could put some yoghurt in it too....I think!! haha..making things up as I go along here!

Doing well Jan...I dont think there would have been a lot of oil for you to worry about them being fried.

Oooh yer! some natural yog with it too! yum! :) Think i shall be investing in jelly monday! :giggle:

Thursday 17th June

Nothing in Mum's :D

Breakie - 1 weetabix, blueberries, raspberries & blackberries & skimmed milk

Had to get up early this afternoon coz of another hospital app. So sort of had an extra 'meal' - 1 piece of toast with phili light.

Tea - Baked salmon with salad which included boiled egg & vlf salad cream.
Had a load of rhubarb in the garden so baked all that with ginger & splenda this afternoon. Had some tonight heated with ff from frais on. Overdid the ginger unfortunately :(
I also cut up a pineapple because it needs using and a few pieces of that found their way into my mouth.

Work, chicken & egg salad with vlf salad cream & a dish of rhubarb & pineapple with another of those jellies.

Now then ..... my hospital app. this afternoon was with a rheumatology nurse specialist. One of the things she said to me was to watch my weight & try not to gain any because of the added pressure on the joints. I mentioned I had lost some and she said I didn't look overweight at all ..... so! .... after I'd snogged her face off :)D) she told me that every 10lbs you are overweight puts the equivalent of an extra 70lbs pressure on the joints in your hips & legs. At a rough calculation I used to be putting about 35stone of extra pressure on my joints!!! Worth thinking about eh??!!

Funny thing is, except for one intermittently painful toe joint all my problems are in my upper body & arms & hands! ..... I'm not complaining though!! Hopefully I've nipped any potential damage lower down my body in the bud ;) xx

Wow!!! No wonder I had such a bad back!!

Are the problems in your upper body all arthritic jan?

I hate having to get up rEly and messing up eating times but the longer yer up the more cals ya need i guess! :)

Yeah - Just an age thing compounded by the occupational hazzard of hauling people in & out & up & down beds for too many years before we stopped being 'allowed' to for health & safety reasons

Still - as DH never tires of repeating, it's a hell of a lot better than the alternative. At least if you've got pain you know you're alive LOL!!! :D xx

Hahaha he speaks true words I guess!!!! Lol

Brill news Jan! The thing is with getting older and our joints (now being serious here for a change)!!! We need to keep moving around...as soon as we stop, then the joints just cease up! So, that means exercising..haha...(had to get some joke in there somewhere)!!!

You did well on your menu then you had the naughties...tut, tut, tut....dont you be copying me Mrs!!! Dont need two people falling by the wayside now, do we!

Saw your wee comment to my OH..aww..it was nice that you two spoke, albiet online, but I felt all warm and fuzzy inside!! haha

Awww Jan!!! :hug99: No point beating yerself up though!
And you Iris!

Here is one for the both of ya .... :whoopass: :giggle:

Now, today is a new day :) :) :) :)

Doesn't have to be actual 'exercise' Iris! Just moving about, not giving into the temptation to limit movement because it hurts. You will NEVER convert me to exercise! :)

Carried on with the nawties I'm afraid :(
