LL June Starters

Hi AJB,

Just noticed you live in Chafford Hundred - I used to live in Chafford Hundred before I moved back home to Scotland!!! I still miss Lakeside and Bluewater :-(

IWGT, all or nothing works for me. Just want the weight gone as soon as possible! :8855:

Exactly linda. The sooner the better as far as im concerned. £70 each week soon mounts up. You are doing really well

Flexi you are so right and I agree, certain foods and drink will always be a treat for me but like you say - treats should only be occasional - not a daily occurence!

I'll admit now that there have been times when I've got home from work stressed and 'treated myself' after all I'd worked hard and felt I deserved it - now I know that I deserve to reach my goal more :) and that's what I'm going to keep working towards 100%. Like now I'm on a lunch break (it's nearly 2am for crying out loud!) and I'm avoiding the canteen by posting on here!

I've been invited to a couple of events this weekend that I'm not sure I'm strong enough to attend yet. What with it only being my second week I don't think I could cope with the peer pressure to drink or eat something. I've only told selected friends that I'm on LL and I'm really not in the mood for a lecture about how extreme this diet is :( when did everyone else start socialising? And how did you cope?

Oh Dove what a small world! Have to say I love where I live, its in a really nice quiet cul-de-sac and the neighbours fuss over my cat whilst I'm at work, bless them!

AJb, I am just into my third week. And I only my husband knows I am on this diet. We had my step daughter down at the weekend and I had to tell her and she spent to whole weekend trying to het me to eat until my husband told her to stop. I have a BBQ coming up in a few weeks and I have already told them I wont be drinking and I have arranged to be the driver for a few other people too. As for the not eating I am going to say I have an upset tummy. If that fails my hubby and I are just going to swap plates. So I have a plate with a bit on and it looks like Ihave eaten.
You will be strong, you know you deserve to be at goal more than anything so look after you and don't worry about peers. They will respect you for sticking to your guns, even if they don't understand.
Good luck! :D

I think avoidance is my best tactic right now - me sipping on water just isn't going to happen - the girls would just keep nagging at me until I had one which would eventually lead to a boozy night out followed by a takeaway!

Yes Lind I do deserve to get to goal - we all do - here's to staying focused :D

Another 3.5lbs down for me this week! normally have a Monday pm weigh in but will be at work till late!
Thank you LL!!!

Hey Preeti way to go girl. You are doing fantastic. Keep up the good work :D

Preeti, well done. Feels great to see good numbers on those scales doesn't it? lol

AJB, did you avoid the weekend?

Hello everyone!
Have been a bit absent from Minimins lately, been moving house which has been hectic but have managed to stay 100% abstinent which i'm pleased with.
Went to an 'emergency' weigh in on Weds as didn't think i'd be able to make my usual group on Thursday, didn't really prepare for the weigh in, downed 2 litres of water before I left work then went out for a drink with my mum and drank loads more water, then on the spur of the moment decided to go to a pop in session! Got weighed and had only lost 1ibs and was so disappointed, then realised that I had drunk close to 3 litres of water! So weighed myself again on Thursday using my own scales and i'd lost 3ibs from the Wednesday night so that reassured me a lot. Will see how much I weigh this Thursday as am not sure if there is a difference between my scales and my LLC's etc.
But overall it's all going well!

Hope everybody is good, will slowly catch up on all your news just don't have internet at home so am attempting to catch up at work!

I've been taking sneaky peeks at the site while on breaks at work (shush I won't tell if you don't Hanmac!) its a great distraction from the canteen!

Yep Lind went on full scale avoidance tactics this weekend - so not only have I caught up with a lot of stuff I had recorded on my Sky+ box by staying in - I also lost 3lb this week :D

AJB a lazy weekend sounds great!!! I have a BBQ coming up in three weeks and I really hope I am strong enough to go but if I don't feel I am I am going to take a leaf out of your book and stay home.

Hi all - glad to see you are all here. Well done on maintaining your plan whilst moving house :)

I have to say this is the worst week so far ever since Friday I have been thinking about the F Word - have not sucummbed but need to find something to occupy my time as I think I'm just plain bored now I don't spend all my time eating!!!!

I was going for a walk tonight but I haven't will defo go on Wednesday night.

Do any of you do exercise? I was going to wait untill I have completed 4 weeks before hitting the gym? Does this sound about right?

No being a hermit is definitely not practical for the whole of Foundation, especially with the nice weather and constant BBQ invitations! I suspect that in 3 weeks time you'll be well into the swing of things Lind and feeling confident in your achievements - that should be enough to see you through the BBQ challenge :D

Hi Dovesam,
I started exercising too early and pushed myself too hard and ended up collapsing, which wasn't too pleasant! So just listen to your body, remember you're only eating around 500 calories a day so i'd only recommend gentle exercise, I try going for walks and you should have been given a LL pedometer which comes in quite handy!
4 weeks sounds good as your body should be in the swing of things by then, but just see how you feel :)
Good luck!

Hannah x

All I've done is think about exercise but so far failed to get my fat bum off the sofa! I know I should up my walking but I really can't be bothered! As I work 12 hour shifts when I get a day off it really is a rest day where I do the absolute minimum! Where's all this energy I'm supposed to be bouncing around with?!!

the energy will be there soon. dont push urself too hard start slowly and build up ur pace. its worked well for me. saying that, we all have our down days.

Thanks Dazzle - you look fab in your pic btw :) I had my first go at an exercise dvd and was amazed that I could manage it! And once I had recovered actually started to feel bouncy! Of course my bounciness could also be down to a 3lb loss that takes me to a stone in 3 weeks! Yay :D

Am excited as at my meeting on Thursday I will get my halfway photo taken! (I joined my group quite late so they're a couple of weeks ahead and had theirs taken last week, but i'm on Week 6 now so am getting mine taken this week!)

Am excited as think it'll be a great visual motivation, as i'm so used to looking at myself everyday I only notice little changes.
