In need of a SW buddy!

Well done on resisting the pizza. This is my first day on plan after joining yesterday and as it isn't pay day until tomorrow my cupboards are looking a bit bare. Was walking around the supermarket this morning like a rabbit in headlights- I followed SW for years but for the past few years have...

I'm not really sure how to do it but I've had private messages & things before. I'm 33 & from central scotland. My husband is another who eats what he likes & never seems to gain although he is a gym freak. Sent from my GT-I9060 using MiniMins.com mobile app

    Extra Easy Started Today!

Well done and good luck. I (re)joined at lunchtime today so tomorrow will be my first day on plan. I've been a WW'er for a few years but have fallen off the wagon since Christmas and WW classes are diminishing in the area with none that suit me so thought I would give SW another go.

    Back on WW online...

Hi! I'm back to WW again too. I've not been in the mindset at all since about Christmas and as a result I feel horrendous but had one of those lightbulb moments and am counting my points again. Rather than joining class as there isn't one that suits me I have downloaded an app to my phone which...

    Surprising or shocking pro-point finds....

It's a chicken breast- about the same size as a Bird's Eye Chargrill Chicken although a bit thinner. I first saw them mentioned on the Weight Watchers message board so went in search of them and they are ideal in a sandwich/wrap/pitta for loads of flavour without adding loads of points. Below...

Day 1 - Just wanted to say hi.

Hi Sarah! Good luck on WW! I'm just back to Mimimims today too! I first started propointing in January 2011, lost over two stone in four months and after taking a break to go to Los Angeles for three weeks I couldn't get back on track and put on all the weight I lost plus extra so re-started...

    Surprising or shocking pro-point finds....

I haven't read through the entire thread but two pointastic finds I've made recently were: ASDA 'Chosen by You' Hot & Spicy Chicken Breasts- 1PP each. These can be found in the freezer section and are £2 for a box of four. I had one on a seeded bagel with onions, rocket and a low fat cheese...

This is the first diet i could ever say i'm a hare. I have lost weight every single week & am averaging just under 2.1lbs per week. I am joining ww tomorrow, a few questions pls

I am an ex sw-er & can say hand on heart that propoints is the best 'diet' i've ever used. At your first class you will get your...

    Newbie Error!!!

I wouldn't worry too much about the rounding as just as many products decrease in points when you have two of them i.e ww tortilla wraps are 3pp for 1 wrap or 5pp for 2. Chances are if you were having two you would count it as 6pp so it evens up the bread.
  13. babybloo

End of first week doing WW

I wouldn't worry too much about your weeklies- you'll probably find you use more as you relax into the plan. I use the majority of mine each week (around 35/40) & have had steady losses every week so intend to keep using them until i plateau as i'm on 29 dailies so they're never going to drop. I...

Thanks peeps! We do have a good kitchen- micro. george foreman, oven, grill so I shouldn't be stuck for choice. Also, thanks Vixx for the Catherdral City update. I ran out of this last week so bought the Aldi red.fat cheese and it reminds me of stinky feet!

Haha, must be a UK wide thing! I made a mexican savoury rice quiche this morning and as it was still warm when I brought it into work and the smell was wafting I had two slices before my breakfast! In fact, just had my porridge at half eleven. It's a crazy, mixed up day!

    What to have with meat?

I love Butternut squash and swede mashed together with VFF fromage frais and black pepper. I would also sav 198g baby potatoes and make roasties with them and roasted veg is a favourite.

What do you all have for breakfast?

I try to vary my breakfasts so I don't get bored- Weetabix with chopped banana Syn free sausages, bacon and hard boiled egg (I make this the night before and put in a tupperware tub as I don't have time in the morning) Syn free pancakes with 'cream' (greek 0% yog flavoured) and fresh fruit...

    Butter Light spray

I've got some and I used it for making syn free pancakes. I detest the smell of butter in a pan so this is a happy medium for me. I got mine from Tesco I think as none of my local ASDA stock frylight.

I don't think red days are for me

It only takes me ten mins to drive home from work so I'll have a bit of fruit when I get in. I just feel really empty!

    Pets

Haha, Nattynoo! That's the kind of thing my dog gets up to. He's never been destructive (never chewed furniture or shoes etc) but he loves nothing more than ripping up bits of paper/facial wipes/bath puffs etc. I always know that if he's quiet I'm going to find a mess!

    Home made fry light?

Hi Vixxster! I left a comment on your blog about the Frylight too. I thought you had maybe found supersized bottles!

I don't think red days are for me

For some reason today I feel really hungry and I shouldn't as I've had plenty to eat. I've tried drinking a couple of glasses of water but I still have a munchy feeling. The only thing I can think is that I'm doing a red day. Only 20 mins to go until I finish work and when I get home I'll put my...

    Ideas for potatoes x 100,000,000

I just used a normal dinner plate to do mine. Expect the first batch to take around 7 mins but after that it will take less and less time and eventually (depends how many batches you're making!!) it takes around a minute and a half. Be careful taking the plate out of the micro though, 'tis hot!

    (OT) The Timetraveller's Wife

I would like to see this film as I like Rachel McAdams as an actress and also as i havem't read the book. I end up going to see a film and then being disappointed as I've read the book first so I'm determined to see this film before reading the book.

    Roast Chicken Fridge Raiders

I had a bag for my lunch on Saturday as I was out and about and thought these would be a fairly safe choice. All the protein in them definitely kept me full up. Morrisons are selling them half price just now at 49p a bag.

    Roast Chicken Fridge Raiders

All the flavours are 2.5 syns a bag other than the tikka which are 1.5 syns.

'Low syn' taster night! Would you think I was crazy for bringing my roasties?

Is everyone having taster nights except me this week?!

    Pets

I'm sorry to hear that Tracy. If anything was to happen to my boy I'd be inconsolable so I can only imagine how you feel.

'Low syn' taster night! Would you think I was crazy for bringing my roasties?

I think roasties are a great idea. I made a roast dinner last night and made rosemary and thyme roasties and was so impressed with them that fry light achieved even better ones than my Christmas 'goose fat' roasties.

    Babybloo SW journee!

I was really lazy at the weekend and although I wrote my food down, I forgot to update my diary so here goes. Saturday 22nd August- Extra Easy B: 2 slices of hovis wholemeal toasted from 400g loaf, dry fried onions and plum tomatoes, dry fried egg, 2 Joe's sausages, 2x smoked bacon rashers...

Best tasting sausages with low syns?!?!

I order mine from Joe's Sausages. They're not cheap but they're well worth it and are all tucked away in my freezer so will last me ages.
  223. babybloo

Yorkshire puddings! For my first SW roast dinner :D

I buy the ASDA smart price ones as they only take 5 mins in the oven and are only 2 syns.

Well my dinner tonight was fab but I had guests so didn't take a pic for fear of looking like a loony! Cooked chicken flavoured with rosemary, thyme and garlic (I only had breast meat), pigs in blankets (Joe's sausages chipolatas wrapped in smoked bacon), roasted veg (red onion, white onion...

    Blow Out!!

I say get back on track and forget about it. Sometimes I think a 'once in a blue moon blowout' is actually good for the body cos it then releases that little bit of fat it has ben hanging on to. The trick is getting right back on track the next day which can be so hard to do.

Just feeling like I have no motivation anymore

A good trick I've found when I'm lacking focus or feeling disappointed with my weight loss is to weigh out your total loss on a set of scales (using canned food for example), put it in a bag, lift it and then try to imagine giving up and putting that all back on.
  228. babybloo

after you eat certain food/meal do you

For me, it's raw onion (especially red onion). I love onion but whenever I have it raw I feel like I tend to crave more sweet things, possibly due to the taste it leaves in your mouth, so I try to make sure my onion is cooked at all times.
  229. babybloo

i did something i shouldnt have

Just continue to stick to the plan and don't worry about it. I weighed myself last night and it was saying a 3 pound gain and I could have cried but when I weighed myself this morning 5 pounds were off which is a 2 pound loss. My scales match the ones in class but I really should try and keep...

    which plan

Extra Easy is fab- I love it! I did a full week of it last week and lost two pounds. This week I've done three EE days and had a sneaky peak on the scales this morning and I'm showing another two pound loss (I get weighed on Wednesday) but I'm going to try a few red days now. I know people have...

Hi Vixx! I've made the crisps before in the micro and i find the trick is to heat up the plate first in the micro and then lay out the potato slices. The first batch always seems to take the longest and each batch afterwards gradually takes less time. The trick is to not pick at the ones...

I used to work in the same office as him a few years ago and I always felt he was lonely so made an effort to speak to him like an adult unlike the men who used to slag him all the time (it was all done in jest, not bullying). I haven't seen him for a while and about six weeks ago he changed...

I would say to him but as I'm based in the offices and he's on the warehouse floor I never see him except a Friday when he drops in to bring my choccies and I don't want to hurt his feelings. As long as I can exercise self-control then I'll be fine. This is why I like to plan my menu's in...
