After weeks of my other half thinking I'm daft for complaining that the cold air was ruining my running and beginning to wonder whether I did get that unfit after rest at Christmas I proved it! 10 degrees rather than 3 and back to my pre clock change times! Just hope it doesn't get too cold again!
I'm still struggling - not improved since November but figured I would just keep wracking up the miles and hope the spring sunshine will help! Still struggling with the cold :(
Pitiful - didn't even manage half my Target hehe! Ho hum - 40k is 40k more than I did in January last year!

Anyone have one of these? I fancy one as I use runkeeper on my phone but won't run with headphone in the dark and don't always feel safe getting my phone out mid run but they aren't pocket money cheap!
Sports direct always is cheapest in my opinion. I always get pants with a zip pocket and a tie waist (but tie it before you put on or you lose the strings!). A few good bras and cheapo Tshirts with a high neck so you don't fall out when your 'planking'. I run a lot so I have a few zip up tops...
Well I joined my local running club for a 6k tonight. Really held up the group but they didnt seem to mind doubling back. Really having trouble with breathing since it's got colder, gp reckons it's a resurfacing of asthma I had 9 or so years ago but the inhaler didn't help tonight...
Another 6k done. Joined a runnin club for the first time but struggling with exercise induced asthma triggers by the cold so really held the group up :s

Just listen to your body - muscle ache is ok generally across your body but localised pain is not. Make sure you have a rest day a week and really rest! I run 3 times a week and do a conditioning or strength class per week. I'll try fit in a swim or a walk and have one full rest day.
Don't...

I do but I have a diet coke addiction that makes it worthwhile. Other than that we buy chicken,
Muller lights, flora light and some veg. Oh and toiletries!
Chicken noodle soup - Amoy straight to wok udon noodles, left over chicken, half a stock cube and some soy with a handful of spinach.
Pour over boiling water!
Congrats. I jut finished my 2nd park run. Came in second to last I think. Oh well, loads of hills on that course and I could have stayed in bed so all positive thoughts!
Beginning to wonder why I do this to myself! Parkrun with post boot camp muscle pain followed by a 3 mile walk home :(

I didn't get on with the treadmill at all and now run outside come rain or shine. I'm struggling with cold running still, since November I'm still 6 mins over my pb because I start coughing in the cold and get tired so quick. I know I should go to the docs as I used to have an inhaler for...
Ran in the pouring rain so didn't do too bad really ! Now sat in the middle of the floor waiting for the boy to cook dinner so I can have a bath!

Got it now - and to be honest if I'm doing success express it's to speed up my loss and as I can only snack on free foods I'm unlikely to need 15 syns on thing I would add to meals anyway!

After a huge holiday gain I've got to lose half a mountain to get back to target range for next week. I've always found success express confusing and here is an example:
Amoy straight to wok noodles are 1 syn on ee/green but 10 on red.
If I add 2/3rds superfree to my noodle soup then are they...
I've even sick this week, backs playing up so spent half the week lying very still, popping painkillers and drinking no water. I've eaten everything hand held too. I've gained a whopping 7lbs.
My brain keeps telling me 'meh it's almost Christmas and you are soooo busy' but if I carry on this...
I'm not following the program anymore really although I had pretty much finished. I've got a set 5k route and I'm just trying to run as much of it as I can! Think I'll start adding another 1k every time I can run the lot.
Ouch - good on you for trying it. I slipped a disc a number of times and the slightest bit of sciatica and I don't dare try anything.
The cold n dark really is ruining it for me. Trying to keep my gym bag in the car so if its really bad I can go do a class or something instead.
I've barely run this week. One 4.5k circuit on Wednesday and I've felt pants ever since. Treated myself to some new tights, gloves and reflective bits today to try motivate myself for tomorrow's run! If anyone's near york the oasics shop at the outlets pretty good - £40's worth of tights for £14!
Afraid not - you never earn 'extra' syns. Your workout should be seen as boosting your weight loss and your body really needs most of the free foods to repair itself anyway so you shouldn't using syns to fill in your calorie gap?
I'm struggling with the cold for sure. Just find I start coughing and get out of breath much easier in the cold air. About 10 years ago I was given in inhaler over the winter so might go get one again. I swear I read somewhere that you can buy them over the counter for less than the prescription...
I tend to have mine as a mid morning fruit snack. Most days I have 2 eggs and my hex b bread! I used to think I had massive breakfasts but I lose just fine with my eggy breaky and I'm not starving by 10am!
Big thumbs up for exercise from me - it'll boost that metabolism long term and help you keep off what you lose. Not to mention its good for your mental and physical health.
I do wish slimming world encouraged a bit more activity even if it's just a walk a day!
Just take it easy! Don't want any injuries.
Well after my last 4 rubbish runs on treadmills or mornings I braved the cold tonight and knocked two mins off my pb again. Mojo restored.
I decided no headphones, no one telling me my distance pace or time. Just run... And it was awesome :)
I think...
I didn't first one At 39 minutes so was really happy to knock 3 mins off my pb. I knew I could do better though and knocked another 2 mins off tonight, now down to 37. I'm officially out of my rut - I just need to accept that I don't do treadmills or morning runs so whatever happen I'll have to...
Yep - I entirely blame all 6 of my bad runs on the time change. I hate the treadmill and the dark isn't motivating. Think I'm just going to find a better lit route!
It's been over 2 years but tonight I might actually reach my target. I'm still motivated to lose so will probably reset it at another stone lighter but it's been a long old journey!
Knowing my luck I'll have half lb or something to go!
Haha I'm such a drama queen - wasn't quite last and it was a sub 40 minute Pb for me. Now if I get my nerves and emotions under control and focus next week I'll be fine!
Good work! Park run didn't get me out of my funk though, not got official times but was last I think. Barely ran any of it, thing is that I don't know what stopped me.. I wasn't sore and my breathing was ok so why did I not keep going? And then I got all angry with myself and my breathing...
Tried a morning run today. Think my last two pants run are probably down to making excuses. Monday was pants because I was dehydrated and my legs were crampy, today it was 6:30am and I hadn't eaten and felt rubbish!
So I think I'm going to head to my local park run on Saturday morning and get...
Believe me when you get to 5 mins your motivation will boost, then 20 mins and you'll be buzzing! Well done on your start!
I'm a bit stuck at week 8.. Suffering with cramps legs and realising how much an impact the fuel I put in makes or breaks a run!
I've done both and slimming world is a winner in my book. For me it's something I could keep up forever and becomes a lifestyle rather than a diet. I did the same as others with weight watchers - starved to eat crap.
If yu are active then focus on food as fuel and notice what happens to your...
Does hot chcolate help? If I crave something I try to make myself wait and half the time I forget I wanted it. The fudge alpen lights are quite chocolaty? Sometimes though you just need to decide what you want more... Perhaps a list of reasons to focus and stay on track might help? Or try...
Our bodies can retain and incredible amount if non fat weight and of can fluctuate hugely. One salty meal and a work out without rehydrating is enough to make me gain 4 or 5 lbs overnight! Fluid and fibre changes can make a huge difference. Follow the plan and look at your monthly stats!
Could take some mugshots, they'll have a kettle for sure! Take plenty of fruit with you. The mcdonalds chicken n bacon salad is free (without the dressing but that isn't high). If you can avoid your hexb at breaky and dinner then you can knock 6 syns off a sandwich? 12 off if you can save your...
A mixture of walk and run, I try to alternate 1 minute of each but the run at 8 or 9 so I much quicker intervals!
Meant to run tonight but I did a kettlebll class last night and to put it politely my bum hurts!
I'm on week 8, run 2 and I'm completely amazed how quickly I've come along! Noticing real tone in my legs for the first time too. Still takes me 43 mins or so to do the 5k but I know if I push I can get this under 40 soon! I want to start doing some parkruns but don't really want to go on my...
Plan plan and plan! Know what you are going to eat all week and shop early. Make huge portions in the evenings and freeze or have leftovers for lunch. Make sure you have things like mugshots in for emergencies!
That's such a long time. Mine is 4 months really so I need to get sorted before Christmas. In reality I'm 4.5 stone lighter than I was 2 years ago and I would be happy as I am but I know it could be better!
I'm getting married in April. I've got 3 lbs to go till target but decided I want another stone off. I'm having my dress made but avoiding the dress maker for as long as possible!
I'm really shocked how quickly you improve, I'm on week 7 and 2 months ago I struggled with 90 seconds. I always do the podcast then run/walk intervals with some sprints till I get to 5k. Can't get the time below 43 mins though :(
Hi guys - I started running using c25k 7 weeks ago and did a fun run 5k last week. It had plenty of slower bits and rest time at the traffic lights so I managed it. I would like to push myself during timed events but are the parkruns ok to walk part of? I don't want a poor volunteer waiting 40...
When I'm away I set myself a treat per day limit. So I can have a burger and chip or an Icecream or a pizza; but not all of them on the same day! It avoids me decided the whole day is ruined and spiralling into a whole week of munching?
I'm a few lbs off my target and have been pondering my next steps for a while. I know I want to lose a bit more but think I've decided to focus on fitness goals. You can always be fitter but can't always get slimmer so I'm looking for a permanent motivation to keep the weight off?
We only really buy chicken, diet coke, muller lights, passata, apples, spinach and cucumbers! Oh and peppers! They don't do alpen lights which is a shame.
Oh and their flora light works out cheap and if the robinsons is on offer we stock up!
Hiya - i've tried numerous cous cous recipes at home, and i work for the company that makes Ainsley Harriot so i've tried all of those too... but i never even get close to making anything as tasty as the salad bar cous cous from morrisons. Now i know that its full of oil but i don't think the...
Perhaps you could try focussing on your health as a motivator rather than weight loss? After all what is there to motivate us to keep off weight once we've lost it? It might help you keep at the gym because although your weight loss might not improve your health will? I read a book on it, can't...
I suppose you just have to plan ahead where you can, perhaps take some syn free snacks to keep you from getting too hungry? Perhaps take a food diary sheet so you see any slips stack up?
Grump grump grump. I slipped a disc a number of years ago and it's been fine for ages but this week it's just been getting worse and worse. Went to the docs today and got some über painkillers but they've just knocked me out and feel pants :(
Find it so hard to keep on track when I feel like...
Not too bad a day today...
B - 2 slices of wholemeal bread, 2 eggs and flora light (3 syns)
L - pub with the boss so grilled chicken, jacket potato, jack d sauce and a tiny brown bread roll (9.5 syns)
D - grilled lamb, brown rice and tomatoes
S - muller light
So not quite as good as yesterday...
Righty - quick update before I head out to choir!
B - 2 alpen bars, apple, banana & grapes
L - tomatoey pasta leftovers
D - ham & cheese omelette
S - more grapes
Whoop - synless day :)
Pesto is my all time favourite thing! But I'm focussed and trying to keep myself syn free for a few days.
Cheese (hex), ham & tomato omelette for my tea!
I didn't get time for breaky pre work so ended up eating throughout the morning. I hate this because I can't have my usual eggs and toast and I'm hungry all morning despite what i eat. iI ate two alpen bars, half a box of grapes, a banana and an apple and still my stomach was growling. The worst...
Phew - I would keel over on a hifi bar for breakfast! I had two slices of toast, two eggs a banana and a slice of cake (whoops) and was still ravenous by lunchtime!
I work for Symingtons so I'll feed back peoples concerns! Sounds like tosh to me given the fat etc are the same. Let me find out exactly what is different in the recipe spec for you guys.
We've having our wedding reception in tipi's! :) super excited! I really would like to get super fit & toned for the big day. Perhaps uncover my arms for the first time in years?!
Whoops - meant to be back on track today but not so successful! A colleague bought in cake, really yummy cake!
B - 2 eggs, hex toast and flora light
L - goulash & left over jacket spud
D - pasta with chicken & tomato sauce & hex cheddar
S - 2 pieces of cake, I can't imagine it's less than 30...
I've got a point with my journey that i'm trying not to think too much about ttc. I reckon it'll only get me really stressed out! I'm lucky to have a wedding to focus on instead. I've put my monitor away and I'm not thinking about where I am in my cycle. It's hard to ignore though!
Ha - been rubbish at keeping this up to date. Had a good week but then I went out Friday night and drank loads. Was prettying hunger yesterday so had a bacon and cream cheese bagel. I then went to an American rib joint with some mates in the evening. Whoopsie!
Today was marginally better but...
:) anyone else tying the knot? I get little flashes of excitement but with so long to wait I'm trying to stay chilled about it. Bad idea to spend the afternoon watching don't tell the bride!
Weirdly enough I thought the wedding would give my motivation a boost but doesn't appear to be working...
I was booked onto body pump but I've had sciatica all weekend and I knew I needed to do some housework. So hoovered, cleaned & cooked instead! Attack tomorrow night though!
Wl I've got a Sunday with no plans so I'm going to top the freezer up. I'm thinking goulash, sweet n sour chicken, spinach & ricotta cannelloni and butternut & chorizo soup.. So whichever of those looks most tasty!
Sometimes it's just the way our bodies work - they get a shock and it takes time to adjust! Did you weigh your healthy extras and keep a diary just to make sure you didn't miss anything? Jut trust the plan and keep focussed, it'll all work out in the end.
Hahaha so tempted to hide and not tell you all but I put 5lbs on!!! Hehe I was naughty last week but not 5 lb naughty. It is my 'star' week but still! How daft!
Awesome - we have to remember that we are only human and if we are to lose weight and more importantly KEEP IT OFF then we have to lead normal lives and that means enjoying life occasionally! For me I never feel guilty if it's done in a controller manner, isn't a binge and doesn't ruin the rest...
Hehe I sing in a soul group and we had tops made a year ago. Mine was tight and now I could get in it twice. I wear it to the gym these days!
Or when I resist the booze and only have a couple or none at all!
I ended up with a morrisons salad bar which included cous cous, tomato pasta and some naughty onion bits. Guessed at around the 8 syn mark but dont really have a clue!
I tend to use mine as a bit of butter on my bread or a few sweets occasionally. I tend to 'save' mine up and have them on a weekend for booze and cake!
It's a right pain not being able to copy properly on my phone as I only really use my phone on here! Anyway I lost 3.5lbs this week so that's 4.5 down and 7.5 to go! :)
Odd actually because we were told something about supermarket cooked chickens being free (obviously if you don't eat the skin)! Again - common sense tells me that you do what you want to..
Common sense screams out to me here - so what if it's a few grams under or over! If we all get too hung up on little things the 'lifestyle' change will become too big a challenge!
For the past 6 months I've done 3 if not 4 classes or gym sessions per week. I lost a couple of stone with slimming world, then one with dukan and i'm back on slimming world now. Ironically enough though all that exercise leaves you somewhat knackered for other important forms of exercise which...
I suggest losing the weight if you can and workin on getting fit! I always presumed getting pregnant would be easy but a year later and nothings happening! I don't want to head to the dr's and be told to lose weight so started getting on with it the moment we decided to try!
On my phone so can't properly update but I weighed in Monday at 1lb off (was only 4 days since the previous weigh in so pretty chuffed)!
Well on track for a big one this week after 3 classes in the gym and a 5 mile walk planned!
I'm getting married on 12/04/14.. Loads of time to lose but want to tone up too! I had wanted another 2 stone off but now I'm thinking 3 taking me down to 10 stone which will be lightest ever by a long way in my adult years!
Aloha guys - another day gone and another day closer to target!
Weighed in today (normally Mondays but nye wasn't going to happen)! 2.5lbs off, pretty darn good considering the wedding we went to and nye!
B- dry fried eggs, hex slices nimble bread & flora light (1.5 syns)
L - more leftover...
:) I'm sure hundreds round the country are feeling focussed! I'm doing slimming world but my gym have a 12 week class starting on the 24th which includes and hours training so I think I might take a break from SW at that point. Would be nice to get to know some people at the gym too.
B - dry...
Hi guys - happy new years!
Another Christmas been and gone whilst still not at my target weight. In August 2011 I weighed 16st 6lbs.. I got down to 12st 9lbs as of Dec 1st 2012 using slimming world, dukan, alli pills, diet chef and a personal trainer (not all at once!) I'm back up to 13st 3lbs...
Well guys I've decided that dukan isn't for me. I felt sickly a lot of the time and the restrictive nature just caused me to rebel. I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm a stone lighter but I think it simply isn't sustainable for me to reach my goals. I just can't plan that far ahead and I need...
Well the wedding was. Completely mad but fine. There was this really vile woman who is a mate of the groom who kept trying to play some sort of game. She had to be bigger, better, faster, richer, louder etc. all day long. I had organised the whole day and she just kept saying how 'if she had...
Afternoon all :)
Had a pretty good day on all accounts. Works a bit mad because although I work for I.t. As a project manager I've sort of been seconded to work in more exciting business projects recently. It's good but it does make things a bit complicated.
Anyway food wise I've been a good...
Well the gym felt good, ache quite a lot today.
Cooked some chicken, steak and Galettes so no excuse! Oh except for lunch on Wednesday but it's a wedding :)
Well I hang my head in shame.. After a week of bingeing I am ready to try to get back on the horse again.
Got a class at the gym tonight so hopefully that will motivate me!
B - scrambled egg
L - salad box with a teeny bit of cous cous (easing myself in gently!)
D - chicken, steak and galette...
What's the texture like on the porridge? I have texture issues with traditional porridge but getting a bit bored of galette or dukan bread with an egg!
Ha - can't say its getting any better this evening. Despite feeling a bit better I was still feeling really stressed about my squatting tenant in Hull and the fact that he owed me loads and then his girlfriend rang and went mental at me (she soon calmed down when i explained my side of things)...
Really struggling. Fell off over the weekend and with being sick I've not got back on it. Having a bit of a stressful time too and just can't seem to focus on anything...
B/L - not sure I can admit but a bacon and cream bagel, crisps and a bakewell tart...
What's really worrying me is how...
I know being sickly and stressed out is no excuse but...
B - dukan bread and an egg
L - left over beef stew
So far so good...
D - udon noodles with duck and gyoza followed by melt in the middle chocolate pudding!
Hehehe but I've been in bed sick all day and needed something to get my strength...
Didn't go to the gym and had an options hot chocolate. Really had cravings this weekend :(
This week could be interesting. Off to deal with my squatting tenant so staying with my parents for a few days. Mums done dukan herself so I'll probably be fine but then at the weekend I'm going to see...
B - egg & half a galette
L - lean ham, teeny bit of half fat cheddar and a slice of dukan bread and a tomato
D - beef stew
The oh is off to the gym in a bit. I should go but I'm really sleepy. I was up at 5am to drive him to work then had some recording to do first thing and then I've spent the...
Well I stayed the same and feel much better for pizza. I suffer from a geographic tongue and since starting the diet it's been worse than ever, but it's feeling much better.
I always thought acidic foods caused it but I've not had any so it can't be that. Second thought was a vitamin b12...
Me and the other half are beginning to plan our wedding (don't get too excited, it'd April 2014)! For a long time I've loved Indian style wedding dresses and have my heart set on a teal lengha or saree but I'm wondering whether it might be a bit too mad? Is it culturally insensitive to wear the...
Had enough of beef too. Decided that if I didn't satisfy my craving in a controlled way i'll fall off completely and go completely mad. A couple of thin crust veggie topped pizza vs. a full blown pig out? I know what the sensible option is!
Well it's happened- three weeks in and the idea of chicken makes me want to puke. Shame I don't really do fish because it's really really restrictive otherwise.
I'm struggling today. Just want to eat carbs. Pizza is still the primary craving, closely followed by gyoza and noodles. Under the...
B - galette and egg
L - ham and bresaola
D - omelette with lean bacon and extra light Philly
Snack - one hell of a caramel shortbread!
I really really wanted to eat pizza tonight, not a greasy heavy takeaway one.. Just a crispy one with pesto and Parma ham. Mmmmmm but I made an omelette before...
I didn't have any chocolate, I did 'test' the caramel on more than on occasion but 0.4lb down today so can't have been too bad!
Deliberately bought no money to work, I'll get harassed for being a Scrooge because it's for charity but it's the best way to avoid cake completely!
Feeling really...
B - boiled egg and galette
L - left over celeriac cottage pie
D - steak onions and peppers
S - probably have a bit of jelly later
Exercise - off to body pump tonight. That's three classes so far this week so I deserve some losses!
Started to make the cake for works bake sale.. Well it's...
Well maybe it is working for me after all. Last week a yoyo'd up and down the same pound, this week I'm going down two, up one (well kind of) so that's fine!
D - steak and my galette.
I've always cooked flank steak because I find it juicier and almost impossible to over cook. It has no visible fat so I presume it's ok?
Orf to body combat x
I see the coke lorry as the start of Christmas too but my other half say it doesn't count if you only see it at the cinema. I did point out that I don't watch tv with work, choir and the gym to entertain me but he was a humbug and said it still doesn't count!
Grump grump grump... 0.2 on. I just seem to yoyo round the same 1lb. I peed in a ketostix this morning and it came out dark purple so hopefully things are shifting.
Plan for today is:
B - muller Greek lemon (I know it's sugary but they need eating), boiled egg
L - chicken, boiled egg, ham and...
I'll keep with the 1/1 for a bit longer and keep monitoring but I just seem to yoyo over the same 1lb. Think I'm frustrated because I've stuck to 1200 calorie diets and lost 3 stone and never failed to lose 2+ a week if I stuck to the rules. I can't be eating more calories than I used to and I'm...
It's all biased to tenants because they are seen as victims. I'm not a big landlord with multiple properties, I just want to rent mine to pay my mortgage! I don't care about a profit!
On cruise what rotations do you all do? If you have tried more than one can you please tell me why you chose what you chose in the end?
I chose 1/1 but I seem to lose one day, gain the next and just lose and gain the same bit!
Green tea worked for me! We'll see whether a PV day throws me off again!
B - egg and gallete
L - boiled egg, grilled chicken, ham and salad
D - Celeriac cottage pie
No exercise because it's choir but I can barely straighten my arms from yesterday!
Does anyone have a spiralizer? I quite fancy trying some courgette pasta or adding some other veg but they are a bit dear @ £30ish. Just wondered whether it might become a back of cupboard item!
Nah my tenants wouldn't. I would lose around 20k if I sold it but it's not worth the stress, I've had to take three days holiday to deal with my squatter!
Not doing so well with the sweeteners- I just love diet coke. I've had three cans today which is probably half my normal consumption so I suppose I've made a start. :)
My tummy has flattened out quite a bit. My legs aren't shrinking much, they never do :( it'll be time for a measure up with my personal trainer next week so we'll find out for sure! Time to go to body pump and work on those arms!
Right - need to focus, one STS week is nothing and I won't let it ruin my dukan adventure.
This weeks plans are to try drink way more green tea and cut down on sweeteners (which means cutting down my favourite diet coke.) continuing with last weeks plans to reduce the dairy too.
B - galette...
Haha that's why I've really given up booze. It's not just the booze it's the 2 days worth of food following it. I've got no self control with a hangover (or when drunk for that matter!)... As long as you enjoyed it though and congrats on getting straight back on it!
Whoops - had a rare weekend with my other half so we went out shopping and to see skyfall. So we got hungry and I had deliberately planned somewhere near nandos but the queues were huge. So we went to a burger place, I had a salad with chicken (was meant to be a PP day) but the boy ordered sweet...
I don't think he likes them as meal replacements but my shake is in addition to my meals and is just to get protein in during the golden 30 minutes post weight training. They are low carb and sugar free so I can't see why they would be a problem if I could afford them! :)
Argh the pain in my shoulders after combat is unbelievable! Shopping and skyfall today. Only slight issue is lunch as it was meant to be second pp day. There is a nando's but it's too expensive to just have a chicken!
And today's weigh in says.... The same :( so officially the end of week 2...
Hi - I usually have a protein shake (low carb) after a workout but I've run out. I've tried the usual places to buy more but now it's vatable it's really expensive. Anyone spotted any on the cheap?
B - galette and 1 egg
L - chicken breast and brasaola crisps
D - half roast chicken without the skin
S - jelly pot
Walked miles and an hours combat class too! Hopefully this should be enough to kick start me. :)
The company I worked for in beverley went bust an I got a job in Leeds. I commuted for a bit then realised that it was costing more than moving so we moved. Have to say I think it was probably the best move we ever made, I really do love living in leeds although I rent a house out in hull and...
There's nothing quite as satisfying as breaking the next stone barrier? Even the difference between 1 lb over and 1lb under seems huge :) once I've broken the next stone barrier then I've broken my last one! :)
I don't think I could do 5 days without cracking.. I'm having two PP days this weekend and I'm going to try cutting down eggs and dairy to see if it helps. I have done two weights sessions this week too so I'm sure that my body composition will be changing even if the scales aren't.
I did have...
Still in a rut and beginning to lose my patience in dukan. I lost 10 lbs in the first 8 days an in the last 5 day I've gained one. I've been at the gym a lot an worked hard so not lot lose anything is pretty depressing.
On the plus side I had my naughty sausage and mash last night, no pudding...
I managed it :) poured the chips straight on to my bosses plate. All ready for my sausage and mash treat now, yum yum. Offered to drive so no drinkies either.
Well I had planned a second PP day because tomorrow I'm out so planned to switch days but I ended up having lunch out unexpectedly.
B - fat Greek Greek yoghurt
L - salad and ham (full fat ham but the best option by far!)
D - butternut squash wedges and chicken
S - muffin
So I'm having two PV...
Well it's a pp day today and here's the diary!
B - dukan bread
L - steak, chicken, ham
D - steak (again!) with a bit of soy and ginger
S - muller light Greek
Also managed to squeeze a really quick workout before I had to be back in town for a meeting. 20 mins alternating jogging/power walking...
Cheers jellie - well I'm hoping that shifting the remaining weight will help and trying not to think about it and focus on getting myself fit & healthy! Hope you have a fabulous day!
I'm sure if I read your whole diary I would probably find an answer but just wandering how long you had been trying? If you don't mind telling me that is. We've been trying for a year, I was going to go see my GP but I was afraid of being told I was too fat so I've lost 3 and a half stone and...
We're amateur to.. If you get bored you can check us out on our website. Google voices of the day! I used to wear a body media fit arm band all the time and I used to burn loads of calories during a rehearsal and tons during a performance. I put on a Tshirt I had for a gig this time last year...
I'm 10 days in and I think it's got a point where it's easier than not being on a diet at all! I don't really need to spend hours deciding what to eat and I don't need to count anything and I swear my supermarket shop takes half the time. Oh and I lost 10lbs my first week.. Go for it!
I've got proof that the gym is bad - I did a pump class last night and stuck on plan but put on 0.8lbs. Hehe isn't it daft how we get hung up on little things?
Hello my lovelies!
Straight in with the diary today: PV day...
B - dukan bread and philly extra light
L - chicken breast, ham, boiled egg and a bit of salad
D - steak, tomato and egg
S - probably have some jelly later!
Not too bad a day but I have been really hungry. Didn't get much time to...
I've spent quite a lot of time reading up in ketosis. I'm in ketosis but quite how long it'll take my body to get used to it I have no idea!
Think I'll try combat at the weekend and see how it goes! Might try a spot of oatbran before!
I'm a big believer in the existence of self sabotage. It's like we get scared of our end goal because what will we do then? Will it change who we are? How will you manage without the comfort blanket which is a diet? No boundaries is quite scary...
But I wouldn't beat yourself up over a bit of...
For the past 3 months I've been doing body combat and pump 3-4 times a week. Since starting dukan 9 days ago I've done two pump classes and both have near killed me. I don't dare try combat. I'm just not convinced that protein only is enough to power me through a proper workout. I just get hot...
Well today's been better I think. Back at work and managed to stay awake but that might be due to the vat of diet coke consumed! I got through a whopping 4 cans and a 500ml bottle. I usually limit myself to 3 cans a day. I've tried quitting but giving up the booze is a step far enough!
B -...
I think it's important to try something new frequently... I've now got aubergine, butternut squash, tuna and peppers into my regular rotation over the past 6 months. Want to work on more fish and broccoli next!
I hit primark, charity shops and my mums wardrobe to keep me going. I have started buying the next size down now. I also started buying leggings and dresses which probably won't be to bad when they get too big. I got two pairs of jeans with the labels still on from a charity shop for £6.
I think it's that she believes her illness causes the weight rather than weight causing the illness so she sees that fat people can't help it and therefore it's ok to be fat. Her daughter does ask me about why I eat the way I do but I'm very clear that i eat the way I do because I am overweight...
:) I bought the lemon Greek mullers today. Today's diary should end up like this:
Breaky - dukan bread and an egg
S- muller lemon yoghurt
L- chicken, ham, tomato and a teeny slice of dukan bread
D - tuna steak and salad (a biggy for me because I dont eat fish and find the whole thing quite...
Whoop - I'll get the diary uploaded later but my weigh in showed another 2lbs gone, that's 8lbs in a week (I don't care if some of its water, it's 8 lbs!!!)
Shopping is the best exercise... I reckon I could walk far further shopping than if I 'went' for a walk. I got a spot of retail therapy in today too. Was meant to go to the gym but I'm just do tired. I did two work outs that I would normally find ok this week and it almost killed me. Just...
We buy our meat at Costco but you have to pay for membership. With my diet coke addiction its well worth it though! We also buy flank steak as its cheaper, seems to be leaner and is impossible to get wrong when it comes to cooking. I did used to only eat free range chicken but have had to stop...
Well it's day 7 and I've still got a banging headache and no energy. It needs to pick up before I go back to work on Monday. Have been a tad grumpy too!
Pp day today:
B - galette (mini!), bacon & one egg
L- galette, chicken, Brasaola, extra light Philly
D- planning to have steak (again)
I...
Hehe I just spent ages with my mum trying different pans and slightly thinner mixtures and different temperatures and in the end she sloshed oil in the pan (she can have those, I'll stick with the slightly scrambled ones). I agree though, a brand spanking new non stick pan and not too high a...
Hi all - thought I would start a diary (which I'll endeavour to keep up to date!) I've found other peoples really interesting so I hope my notes can help someone along the way.
I started at a mammoth 16st 6lbs a year ago and lost 3st 8lbs with a combination of slimming world, diet chef and...
Reading through this thread quite a few come looking at this as a quick fix for a bad week. Remember, slimming world isn't a diet, its a healthy eating plan for life, so having a bad weekend and stuffing in soup isn't sustainable long term!
Also - there's no magic combo in this, its simple...
