Determined to be foxy 42 by 2014! Want to join me?

It might be tmi but after my first couple of weeks on plan when all the extra veg had me rushing to the loo several times a day I've found that unless I have my twigs (allbran) for breakfast I get bloated and slow moving very fast.

Well sts this week, which I know I should be happy with- I'm still really bloated (and sluggish still if that's not tmi) and it means that for the 2 week Christmas period I lost 1lb- which could have been a whole lot worse. I'm just feeling a little meh today and struggling to keep motivated...

When I'm struggling a little with motivation I just remind myself of all the cool clothes I havne't been able to buy over the years and all the ones I can once I drop a couple more dress sizes, it helps keep me on track.

    Mel's journal

Since I'm new here I figured I should start this diary with a bit of an introduction. I'm Mel :wavey: I'm 36 and I have been overweight since being a kid. I was always happy being a 'big girl', my size (I say size because I never, ever weighed myself) was steady and I was still really active...

    Kindle or kobo?

I love my kindle and have gotten a ton of free or cheap books for it. The daily deal is always worth checking out, its often not something I would read but ones I want come up on a regular basis (they're usually 99p). Amazon are supposed to be really great at replacing them too if anything goes...

    NSVs - Non Scale Victories

I beat my target of walking 10 miles last week by 3.5 miles and I found I didn't struggle so much with the hilly parts of the hikes as I expected I would... not too bad for my first week :)

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Oh migraines are awful, I suffered terribly with them for years, I always found the pills with the stuff in them to stop you feeling sick actually made me feel sicker and gave me a terrible hangover the next day. Hope you're feeling better soon.

my personal targets this week are...

Ok mine for this week (although my WI is on Tuesday so technically these are next weeks): 1: Don't forget to drink plenty- did really well with this to start but slipped a little over weekend. 2: Remember to have my healthy extras everyday. Whats for tea tonight?

Thanks, I might have to try that next time (I just bought some to try the syn free gravy)- I loved the taste of the couscous crumb but it was a complete pain getting it to stick, could only have it on one side cos really it was just sat on top. Was delicious though. :D

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I've manged to stick to plan but I did save part of my weekly syns for a bottle of wine last night, which was a little cheeky of me I guess but I really, really enjoyed it lol. My first weigh in is on tuesday, which I'm a little anxious about- been...

    I'm overweight because.....

My main excuse was always that I was happy being big, now I've faced up to the fact that's not true I can finally start really dealing with the reasons I have got so overweight.

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Thank you :) I spent all last week getting prepared, and stressing about weighing myself- I was sure finding out exactly how much I had to lose was gonna knock my confidence a lot, but its made me more determined to do this.

Just started doing slimming world from home this week, although I do ok with online stuff I have a bit of a social-phobia so going to meetings seems like a nightmare to me at the moment. Really happy to find online support here :) I'm doing it with my husband and we both have a lot to...
