2-3 dress sizes from April - August Challenge

I shouldn't moan really. My problem is that for the first three months or so I lost well over a stone every month and I'm now at that stage where it's slowing down. As my friend rightly said, I've more muscle now which weighs more and less fat to actually lose.

I don't do a weekly weigh in but I'd say I'm still averaging probably two pounds a week. A couple of weeks ago I lost nothing all week but then the following week I lost a pound a day for five days. It's weird how it works really.

At least the important thing is I weigh five stones less than I did on 1st January. Plus I'm now officially overweight rather than that hideous word obese :D

What an achievement! 5 stone since January! You mustn't recognise yourself now!

I am that hideious word obese and hate it, really can't wait til I am officially overweight!
 
Kirst!! Im so sorry i haven't been around for a while, soooo much going on. Ended up going away with work last week, eating at the hotel ect (god i felt so naughty!!). Anyways, i was on the edge of giving up at the weekend - felt really down and had no motivation whatsoever! Got on the scales yesterday and ive actually lost a 1lb?! How the hell that happened i will never know...so back in the game today :)

You are doing SOOO well!! Amazing - there will be nothing left of you by the time your hols roll around!! :D Well done girly xx

Don't be silly girly! :) Good to hear from you, your not doing too bad yourself! lol and well done on that 1lb loss that always happens when you don't expect it eh! lol

Oh and hope your right ;), I have 12 weeks to go until hols so even 1-2lbs a week would be great! Hoping for another 18lbs. Currently 13st 11 and REALLY want to be 12st 7lbs or at lease 12 something! :D Will take it as it comes though... :) xx
 
Just done a bit of measuring and looks like I have lost 2 inches round my hips, I am now 45inches! I then decided to measure the waist of my new jean shorts for hol and looks like they are about 40-41 inches (if I did it right!) That means I have to lose 4-5 inches in the next 11 weeks! I am totally obsessing over this but I really really want to fit into them to wear on holiday, I lurve them! lol :( So that means in 7 weeks I have lost 2 inches, I now have 11 weeks to lose at least 4 inches!

It does sound like a bit of a challenge... I hope I can do this!....
 
Hang on, I just checked the size guide on the web site and it is saying size 16 jeans are 43.5 inches on the hips. This is a bit more comforting, maybe I measured wrong! Well, at least I can fit them round my waist, just have to work on buttoning them up! lol
 
Hahahah! Just went to the gym and it is so laughable, only done 20mins! This heat is killing me! lol :) xx

Your enthusiasm is infectious too, you make me want to lose more weight with you....I'm already losing about 1 stone per month at the moment with Go Lower so am really pleased with my progress, but I think because you have a goal, something to look forward to (Zante) it really helps. I have nothing like that, just want to lose weight - and quick.

Weighed myself this morning (twice) and I have lost 1lb this week! I am really happy with this as I thought I would STS as tom due. I am now 13st 10! Woo hoo! Want to push for the next 4lbs before my birthday on 17th June as want to be in the lighter 13's and then I will have 1 stone left to lose for Zante! :)
 
out of interest was it new look you were looking at for sizes? as i was just doing the same lol

Well it's 11 weeks to go to Zante! And am so glad I have managed to find my energy again for squats and dumbells this morning. Tried on my size 16 jeans last night and were easier to slip into and button up. Have a long way to go to get rid of the muffin top and thunder thighs though! lol Felt good though that it was easier to fit into them :D

11 weeks, 17 pounds and 4 inches to go!!! :)

Ha!! I know when I first just managed to fit into my jeans I had a muffin top but thankfully that's now gone. In fact, I can actually feel my hip bones now and keep having a feel to reassure myself I think. They used to be covered by my love handles :p

The thunder thighs are still present though. I think I'll always have those!! It's just the way I'm built I guess. Even when I was slim I always had big thighs! ;)

A few years ago a personal trainer said to me that the last place you put weight on to is the first place you'll lose it from which would explain why most of me is slimming down but the thighs are staying put. I'll know when I'm on the home straight when the thighs get smaller! Having said that, I can feel that my quads are much firmer now and I'm starting to get those lines up my inner and outer thighs from the muscle definition (if you know what I'm rabbiting on about!) :8855:

Thanks Bex! :) I am good thanks, just getting on with things and 11 weeks til Zante so I'm really getting excited! David's practically all sorted now just a few shirts and jeans to get. Me on the other hand have not figured out what I am going to wear at night. I dont know what to buy really?? Bought a skirt and it got delivered today from river island, it's far to small! lol I am putting it along with my jeans and making a "to fit into" pile lol :D

Well done on the hip bones and definition on your thighs I can only imagine how that feels, uber jealous and day dreaming about the day I will be the same! :)

I wonder how else I can exercise to rid of the fat on my thighs, I'm telling you u can grab a handfull of each inner thigh it is quite disgusting! lol Have been doing squats and dumbells every morning and am doing leg resistance machines things at the gym... Don't know what else I can be doing??? :( Any advice?

I can see at the back of my thigs though that they are toning slightly and don't look as bad as they used to be so there is a little light at the end of the tunnel..

There is a bums tums and thighs class on tomorrow night which I started going with my friend Jackie. Jackie didn't really enjoy it much so isn't going back. Went last week on my own and was soo paranoid! :( I really really want to go tomorrow but don't think I will have the courage. David has told me to stop being silly and letting other people jeopordise me being happier but I wish he knew how I feel. Have begged Jackie and Sarah but they aren't for budging! lol xx
 
Well didn't go to my bums and tums class, I did do some thigh exercises I saw on the net when I got in from work, but they only lasted about 10mins. Have still done my dumbells and squats this morning though! :) xx

Are you still doing the spinning classes and stuff like that? Remember you have to do the cardio/fat burning stuff too as well as the muscle work. It's a nightmare!!

My son keeps telling me that I need to do my work on my legs but as I told him, you can't choose where the fat shifts from. It's really annoying actually. I'm sure that if I could get rid of some more of the lard on my thighs my legs would look pretty good as I can really feel that the muscles have toned up, it's just you can't see the muscles for the flab :8855:

Would love to have the time to do squats etc in the morning before work, but by the time I get the kids ready for school and hubby ready for work and then myself ready for work, the school run and work...I already feel I've done a days work and its not yet 9am!!!

No I am Never going back to spinning again, it was a nightmare, couldn't even get out of bed the whole weekend after it I think I will have to lose a couple more stone before I go back there lol

I am going to gym at least 4 times a week and doing at least 30mins cardio (interval fat burning)

I wish you could chose where the fat comes off! I seem to be losing my boobs and not much else! lol still waiting on my bingo wings to go. I'm telling you I push it so hard at the gym on the arm machine thing for 10mins everytime I'm bound to see some results soon! I have actually also noticed that my biceps feel bigger when I tense them lol. I remember when I first started losing weight last year I never noticed I had biceps then one day in the shower I was like oh, I've got muscles! lol :rotflmao:
 
lol i did the same, also with my hip bones when laying in bed the other night i was like, woah thats uncomfortable, omg i have bones there :| lol
