When I'm working I usually have two sandwich thins toasted with 15g Lurpak Lightest melted on top for a lovely buttery toast-like fix in the morning :D totals 257 cals. On the weekend I love to have two toasted sandwich thins with two poached eggs with lovely gooey yolks for 360 cals...

I'm a Tuesday weigher :) on my second week now. Lost 4lb in my first week which I'm so happy about! Question about plans and rate of loss

Thanks for replying :) The main thing for me with syns is alcohol sadly! I might try keeping within my daily syns and having a glass of wine now and again, instead of having a whole bottle in one go on the weekend. I do keep a food diary, I'm quite obsessive about it (haha) so I'm certain I...

Question about plans and rate of loss

Hi everyone. I've just finished my third week on Slimming World. I'm doing it from home with the 2012 books, and I've been doing a mixture of red and green with the odd EE day. I lost 4.75lb in my first week which was great :) then in the second week I lost 0.75lb, and now, at the end of my...

To work it out, calculate your BMR (loads of calculators online that do it for you based on your sex, age, height, weight and activity level) then subtract 500 calories a day to lose 1lb a week, or subtract 1000 calories a day to lose 2lb a week. This is the official science/maths behind it...

This week is shaping up to be a total mess, thanks to PMS! I suffer really badly with it and it ALWAYS derails me  my worst symptoms are fatigue, sadness and craving fatty/sugary/carby foods, and I just can't control myself :( they all seem to feed off each other, so I'll eat a load of...

Mine would be Pepsi Max and the vanilla and chocolate Muller lights. Oh, and crab sticks!

    Bad day :(

Well I'm ashamed to report that today is AN ACTUAL DISASTER!! And still got dinner to go. Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel like I've got it 'out my system' and I can start afresh. Don't even know what's happened! :(
  97. xxlettyxx

    Bad day :(

Yeah.. today is just not a good day. Been ill with a cold and off work, first day back today, got p*ss wet through on the way into work and I'm due on! Lol.
  98. xxlettyxx

Was walking, got shouted at 'fat b' from a car window today

Just read this thread, I am so sorry for what happened to you :( I had something similar happen to me on holiday in the summer; I was with my friend who is tall, blonde and a size 8, and a load of Spanish boys were shouting 'hey fatty, where's your mate?' to me. I was really really upset about...

    Bad day :(

Thanks :) normally I'm fine, I can stick to my cals with no problems, but I just feel exhausted and SO hungry today. But going to stick to 2000.. at least I won't be gaining any weight. I'll be happy to maintain this week :) damn TOTM!
  100. xxlettyxx

    Bad day :(

No the weather isn't helping. I know it's a great feeling on weigh day when you've lost weight, but I dunno, the cravings I'm having today are just too strong! Think it might be better to go with them for today and just maintain? Yeah I'm at work, just totally preoccupied with thoughts of crisps!
  101. xxlettyxx

    Bad day :(

Feeling really tired and run down today. It's the week before TOTM so that's probably why. But I'm so hungry! I ate my sandwich I'd made for lunch at 10.30am :( thinking if I can stick to 2000 calories for today then at least I'll maintain..?
  102. xxlettyxx

*give yourself a pat on the back*

Lozzy Gozzy this is a brilliant idea :) I guess mine for today would have to be climbing back on the wagon after the hopelessness of yesterday!

Alcohol = dieting enemy number one!

Alcohol is actually the devil isn't it Lindsey! I didn't eat anything on the way back to my friend's last night/this morning so that's something I guess, but boy have I made up for that today! Lol. xsarahx - you're definitely right about needing to have fun, I was posting earlier this week...

Alcohol = dieting enemy number one!

Afternoon everyone :) So I went on my big night out last night and had a good time. I drank vodka and diet coke to start, then as I got more tipsy began to care less and had a shot of something (?), a couple of Smirnoff Ices and a couple of San Miguel beers! Cue serious headache this morning...

    SUNDAY WEIGH IN!!!

Hi ladies, I know it's Saturday but I'm off out tonight and won't be home tomorrow morning to weigh in, so I'm doing it today instead. 2lb off for me after all the drama of the week, yay! :D Sending good luck to all you other Sunday weighers for tomorrow :) x

Personal question (avoid if you're eating your dinner!)

Thanks, that'd be really helpful. Starting to feel a bit uncomfortable today I don't drink coffee so not an option for me, but I might look into Ducolax. I've had a read and I think I might give it a try! This is exactly what's happening with me. I go once or twice a week...

Personal question (avoid if you're eating your dinner!)

I don't really want to go adding calories by drinking lots of fruit juice :( let me know how you get on 86alpzzyj. I don't feel uncomfortable or anything, just aware that it shouldn't be so infrequent!

Personal question (avoid if you're eating your dinner!)

Possibly TMI so apologies in advance, but.. .. I'm having trouble 'going'. It's only happening once or twice a week, and this may possibly explain why my weight doesn't seem to decrease during the week. Anyway, I bought some Senna last week and I've been taking them as per the instructions...

    I hate my scales

Thanks :) I'm really trying to let go of the perfectionist thing. I had two mini milky ways yesterday and forced myself to be OK with it as they were within my calories! I got on the scales again this morning and the 2.5lb have disappeared, back down to Sunday's weight. I'm going to make an...

    How many?

Yeah, you need to work out your BMR based on your sex, height and weight - there are loads of calculators online, just do a search - then the calories you burn as part of your lifestyle (the calculator will do this too). You'll then have the number of calories you need to maintain your current...

  133. xxlettyxx

    H2O!

How important do people find drinking 2 litres of water a day? I've been seriously slacking in this department, drinking Pepsi Max instead, and it looks like I'm on for only a half a pound loss this week. Wondering if too many diet drinks and not enough water might be the culprit... :o

    Emilie's Christmas Challenge

Hi girls, can I join you? :) I'm 11st 4lb and I want to get down to at least 10st 7lb for xmas, so 11lb needs to come off! Adding walking into your day

That's what I like about it, feeling like I have a moderately active lifestyle. Before I started walking I was doing next to nothing! I think when I've lost some more weight and get closer to goal I'll join the gym to step it up a bit, and to tone.

    SUNDAY WEIGH IN!!!

Heh, maybe a bit :) I'm trying not to get too hyped up about it. I've been losing and gaining the same 10lb for a year - between 11st 9lb and 12st 5lb - and now I'm 11st 4lb and still going strong I can't quite believe it....

Hiya. I'm calorie counting at the moment too, started on Monday. Before I started, I was eating very little in the hope that I'd lose weight quickly, but my weight loss slowed right down and I think starvation mode was the reason. So it is true that if you go too low, you will go into...

  158. xxlettyxx

    Starting today

I've tried so many times, different diets, some more successful than others; but ultimately I'm still overweight! Planning is definitely a big part of it. I really want to stick with it this time too. I've done Weight Watchers - they allocate a points value to every food, and you have a...

    Adding walking into your day

Has anybody made a difference to their weight loss by building walking into their daily lives? I used to drive to and from work and sit down most of the day, but after writing my car off last week :sigh: I'm going to be walking a total of two hours a day, to get to work and back. And I'm...

    Thunder Thighs

The only thing that's ever worked for me is being on my feet all day everyday, so walking or jogging regularly might help? I'm sure you know anyway that it's impossible to 'spot reduce', so keeping up with the cardio will slowly but surely reduce the fat from all over the body.

Welcome to the forum! I'm on my second week so am relatively new as well. I've done Atkins in the past and although you do lose weight, all that messing about with avoiding carbs is just a nightmare and impossible to keep up! I'm loving SW, and hopefully you will too :D x

I really enjoy EE too! But I'd be happy doing a combination of all three, day by day. In the past, I've lost weight by cutting back on carbs like pasta, rice and bread, so I know that works for me in principle. Maybe red is the way to go? We shall see :D x

Hi everyone. I'm on week two of Slimming World and I just wondered what other people's meetings are like. Need a holiday contingency plan! :-s

Hello everyone :) I need some advice... I'm going to Tenerife for a week on 2nd November and I'm determined to stick to the plan, but the thought of it is making me quite nervous! We're self-catering and there is likely to be a fair bit of drinking involved as it's a girls' holiday.. I will try...
