Hi all - not weighing till the end of the month but wanted to check in - well done Rosielea and abetterme- hoping to have good things to report when I next weigh in.

    From 13's to 12's

Well done both. I'm trying not to think too much about goals - just want the numbers to keep changing in the right direction for now. Hoping that all the walking I'm doing will make a big difference- I'm normally a committed couch potato but I'm doing at least 1.5 hours a week walking and it...

Hi Kay , I've got the cinder toffee one and it's really nice. I don't normally have sugar in coffee but I like this a bit sweet so I use a half tsp of sweetener in a mug. Didn't know about the amaretto one - I am having that when I see it! Lurrrrve amaretto so that is for me - thanks for posting...

    From 13's to 12's

I lost 1 little pound this week. Not quite as good as previously, but not bad for a week that included 2 lots of chippy food. Not quite ready to leave this stone bracket yet but hopefully won't be long. I'm still so pleased to have lost all the weight I put on in two holidays, and I'm now only...

Low Syn curry - about 4 for the full recipe

Hi marybobs - the ginger was something I wouldn't have thought of either, but it was in the instructions for a jar of pataks paste I had a few weeks ago, along with the garlic. It made such a difference to the finished curry that I decided to try it in a low fat recipe. This recipe is an...

Hello, I'm hoping to join you in this bracket when I weigh in on Sunday so thought I'd introduce myself. I've been doing SW at home for about 3 weeks now. Did it successfully many years ago when it was red and green days only, but sins online was a free service! I don't have any classes near...

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Just realised I didn't post my weigh-in result from last weekend- lost 2.6 lbs - very happy with that and will be even happier if I drop into the next stone bracket this week. So far so good this week, I am 100% on plan and getting plenty of nice brisk walks in my lunch breaks.

Hi DiscoDiva - nice to have some company in here. You're a very similar weight to me - how much do you want to lose? I'm hoping I can get to a healthy BMI which is 11-10 or less for me, so about a stone and a half to go. If I can get more comfortably in that zone then all the better. My biggest...

    What am I doing wrong?

Hi - have you thought about using more syns - you only seem to be having about 5 a day which doesn't sound much to me? A friend of mine in work says that the people in her group who use all their syns (10-15 a day) generally do better than those that don't, and one lady makes a point of having...

    From 13's to 12's

Hi all I'm also doing SW at home, weighing on a Sunday morning. I weigh in pounds rather than stones and pounds. I started doing that when I got back from my hols last month as the stones were a bit too depressing. For some reason, I can't seem to remember from one week to the next what I...

    How many Syns a day?

Thanks - can't imagine not wanting to use my Syns - I'm more likely to be looking for ways to make them last. I find they go half on recipe ingredients or sauces, and half on treats like a little chocolate. this morning I really fancied a cinnamon raisin bagel for brekky so I took half a one...

    How many Syns a day?

I m doing SW at home as I have had success doing it as a 'postal' member years ago and find it easy to follow. Just wondering if people in groups get advice on the number of Syns to use based on their weight etc.? Or is it just 5-15 for everyone regardless? Thanks

Sunday Weighers... or is it only me?

I'm doing SW at home, it's my second week and I've lost 1.6 lbs - any other Sunday weighers out there? I can see that there used to be a fair few but I guess many of them will have drifted away when minimins was not available. So pleased it's back as I need a bit of support.

Wow that's brilliant Tracy. I think I have about 30 lbs to lose. I don't see why it would. potatoes are free and Sw make a big deal of telling us to fill up on free food - as long as you are hungry then why not enjoy them. You have to satisfy your appetite in many ways to make any eating plan work long term, and let's face it, sometimes only stodgy carbs...

    Old Core Plan ?

Primarily, the free food list is different in some respects (you can have WW bread products and crumpets) but not as many cereals, and you don't have to limit yourself to 3 meals a day. I find these changes mostly make the plan much more liveable than Core was.

    Wondering if I should try....

Sounds like SF/F&H is made for you - go for it ! I've had the same problem with SW over the last few months. I switched to F&H before Christmas and haven't looked back - this really suits me and my lifestyle.
  81. T

    Simply filling

Hi, yes coffee, tea (as long as you use skimmed milk or none at all, and no sugar) and diet drinks all free. Shredded wheat is free - as it's a F&H food, you can have as much as you need to feel satisfied but not stuffed. Hardly feels like a diet at all :D

    Breakfast Ideas.

Frozen fruit is great for smoothies and I like to keep it in for snacking on , or having with yogurt or crumpets for breakfast. It definitely is true - I found it amazing too, but I've been making the most of it all - having beans on toast and using my weeklies for a teeny bit of low fat cathedral city cheddar on top, or having crumpets for a mid morning snack in work - two crumpets with 1/2 teaspoon nutella on each is a...

    Chocolate spread

Does being bloated effect the scales??

Difficult to say - maybe if you can manage a quick #2 before WI it would help ? As others have said, the bloating is something that I never even noticed when I used to eat bread all the time, but certainly white bread makes me feel odd now.
  110. T
