    I sieve out the pasta and add it to a cup of boiling water for 10mins whilst I thoroughly mix the sauce with water and prepare my veg or meat etc. I then strain the pasta and add it to the sauce before microwaving it. Leave it to stand for a minute or two and it tends to thicken up.

    If you have a very sedentary lifestyle (like me!) e.g. desk job, drive to work, watch tv in the evening and exercise less than 3 times a week I found last time that 2000 calories on up days was too much. This time round, rather than limit the calories I have increased my activity!

    If you are making sure you don't go over every day you should be fine as long as it isn't too much. The atkins diet has unlimited calories but the carb allowance is vastly reduced- if you increase carbs you must decrease calories and vice versa.

    Also make sure you are getting enough minerals- if you drink a lot of water it can dilute the mineral content in your body and cause you to feel faint and a bit iffy- try dding salt (which is much easier to do if you are having a meal pack of something!)
