    I strive for a BMI in the healthy range but I don't think I will ever achieve that. The measurement is very prescriptive and doesn't account for build. I think if you are comfortable and feel good then it is just a number but a reassuring one lol

    No I felt great. I ate so the drink didnt wreck my liver lol but I got up on Saturday and felt like I was still in ketosis, I haven't been hungry at all and I feel well. My next weigh in is Saturday so hopefully I can lose any gains before then.

    If you stick to pure protein you won't need to refeed beforehand but if you're going to drink then you should refeed. Plain green veg and cauliflower will not ruin ketosis but carrots,parsnips etc do have carbs and will affect ketosis.

    At first I couldn't bear the soup but when it got tha I just couldn't warm up I found it really comforting. I have it at night just before bed. I make mine just like the shakes except using boiling water. The hand blender makes it really smooth.

    On my restart week I lost 5 and was a bit disappointed but you know the first few weeks are water weight and it's the losses from week 2/3 that is the fat coming off. It'll balance out don't let it put you off. Well done on a decent loss.

    The reason you need to take all three is because your recommended allowance of vitamins etc are spread across the three so you won't be getting all that u need if you skip packs. I always start mine late in the day, it doesn't matter when you take them, I usually have my first at lunch time...

    I know this is old but one of the earlier comments recommends rice. This will be one of the worst things for ketosis. It's eggs,cheese and meat that will preserve it.

    I have lost 15lbs this week :) I do believe my starting weight wasn't right but I can't prove that. I am thrilled, I scoffed 3 mini cupcakes last night but that hasn't registered yet. I was so cross with myself for doing it but I am right back in the zone now! Bring on week 2!

    When I did lipotrim I struggled with water so I always over diluted my shakes to get a bit extra in. Peppermint or redbush tea is nice and refreshing and can stall the hunger pangs between meals ;)

    If u take a multi vit with selenium your hair will be fine. Mine fell out quite badly after lipotrim but has started growing back now. I think two packs and a protein meal isn't recommended because there isn't enough nutrients. You need three packs and a meal to get your right amounts.

    I think it's a slippery slope, small pieces turn to bigger and then dinners. If you stick to protein you'll stay in ketosis but the calories could slow your losses. If you can you should stay 100% but if you really need something stick with protein

    If its very dark it usually means youre dehydrated. Any ketones at all that show mean ketosis but they're notoriously unreliable. If you stick to the plan you'll be in ketosis

    It's a well known phenomenon that sudden weight loss can cause cholecystitis. Any diet - it doesn't matter but at least when you're thinner/lighter you're in a much better position to have it removed safely.

    Any sudden weight loss can cause gallstones which may not cause you any problems but on the other hand they can cause inflammation of the gallbladder. This is not specific to lipotrim but can occur with any diet.

    I know on the refeed week people can often lose up to 5lbs. There are other vlcd available on line that permit an evening meal and have a great variety of flavours, you should look at slim and save. Hope that helps :)

    It's definitely a carb thing, you're lucky if you stay in ketosis but I never risked it. My pharmacist said some of the ingredients interfere with ketosis and that's why lipotrim say we need to avoid it. The breath strips are great anyway

    How does splitting it affect ketosis? You're still not taking carbs. A lot of people use their vanilla as milk for coffee and this doesnt affect ketosis

    Those sticks are very unreliable so I wouldn't use them. There are other variables that can influence the colour change. If you are 100% you will go into ketosis :)

    I had one meal with friends who didn't know I was dieting do I just had some chicken and no alcohol. I did refeed before a family night out in Dec and again before Christmas, but for the most part I was 100% peppermint tea is a brilliant standby, it warms you up and takes the edge of your hunger.

    Anybody having problems with their nails?

    No supplements allowed, all the nutrients we need are in the shakes. These hair/nail problems are short term and return to normal after the diet. It's like hair loss during pregnancy it'll grow back ;).....that's what they say anyway.

    I'm alright, lost the momentum a bit there. Stopped and started, panicking about eating but not doing it properly. I lost a pound today and the chemist wouldn't give me any more TFR because I'm so close to healthy BMI do I got the maintenance instead. Really pushing the exercise now

    Minus 1.25 lbs this week. I'm pleased after doing refeed then eating big meals then back on shakes but messed up with Atkins bars. Pharmacist wouldn't give me any more TFR because my BMI is too close to HEALTHY WEIGHT :) so I'm gonna try maintenance. Thank you lipotrim :)

    Chunkychops try the peppermint tea, i drink countless cups a day and it staves hunger pangs, if it's too early for my next shake I have one and it tides me over. The cheaper brands are nicer than the twinings I don't think I would have lasted without it.

    Nothing lol, I love the soup it's really warming. Add mix to boiling water and whizz really well, it's nice and creamy. Some people add pepper or chilli flakes but lipotrim day you shouldn't.

    Cameron I had to email lipotrim because of confusion around tea and they told me unfortunately it doesn't count towards fluid intake, a very reliable source on here told me peppermint does count and I follow that. Caffeine can cause fluid retention and thats why they don't count.

    I have a cold at the mo and feel pretty rough. I have no soup left and couldn't face a milkshake so I had a bar instead, I compared the nutritional values to the shakes and they're pretty close.
