    Bit of a rant...

I was really reluctant to do EE as red/green felt really comfortable and I totally knew where I was with it. I did eventually give it a try and I'm so glad I did! Definitely took me a couple of weeks to get my head around it but it really works. It's so much easier too. If you've got free...

    Slimming World Mag

I agree - I can't do the 1/3 superfree so I find green/red day work best. I understand promoting EE but lots of people still do red/green so it would be fair to add a few recipes for all plans.

    It has taken me..

Fighting those urges to binge is AWFUL! All day I've been feeling starving, then my whole family is having a takeaway. I tend to ask myself 'Am I happy to not lose weight this week' and the answer is always no, so I say no. If that doesn't work, I do a bit of clothes shopping online and it...

I do the online membership. I've lost 2st7lb so far. I've been taking my time with it so It's probably taken me about 4months. It was WI tonight so tonight I have treated myself to a big fat plate of pasta with cheese on the top! yum yum x

Bigger people can have more syns?

Thanks everyone! If it slows down my losses I'll go back down to 15. x
  122. clairex

when did it become the Forum for the Rightious!!

This is everything I wanted to add in a neat little package! ;)
  123. clairex

Bigger people can have more syns?

Is this true? I've heard it so many times but not 'officially' from a consultant or anything. I lost 7.5lbs this week but sometimes I did exceed my 15syns a day, some days i stretch it out to 20 and have found this doesn't effect my losses at all. Have you ever done this / heard about this...

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Thanks! It's a great kick start. Just got to keep with it and not get big headed ha ha. Tonight I am going to celebrate with some chocolate (have saved up my syns!)
  125. clairex

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

So I've just weighed in for the first time back 100% on plan, and I've only blummin lost 7.5lbs! IN A WEEK! So chuffed. I have tried really hard though. :happy036: xx
  126. clairex

    Need inspiration!

well it's only 4lb away from a stone, that's better than still weighing what you weighed before! (does that make any sense?!) biggest step you can make is get back to group - the sooner the better!! You enjoyed your holiday, and quite rightly! You aren't going to be able to follow the plan for...
  127. clairex

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

well done you two! 4lbs is awesome!! I've had a great day food wise, now just enjoying my weight watchers yogurt! yum yum. First WI day will be wednesday! xx
  128. clairex

    Struggling Already :(

try drinking lots of water too, it tricks your stomach into thinking it's full! Have a flip through a sw mag and find that motivation that you obviously have! (marathon training?! blummin' eck!!)
  129. clairex

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

20 syns isn't too bad if you feel you've stuffed yourself! I could easily do 100's on a binge, haha! I've had a good day, eaten really well, and my family had a take away and I had a sw meal! yay!

Would like some advice for Red Days

Breakfast is usually quite hard for me as I work early, Usually what I do is a have 2x alpen lights (Healthy B), and a piece of fruit. Easy and quick, and requires no effort! Lunch, I tend to have a salad as I don't really like having bread in the middle of the day (makes me bloated and...
  132. clairex

Overcoming the 'life's too short' mentality

Because I feel more like life is too short to spend it being so unhappy with how I look! My weight stops me doing so much of what I really want to do in life, it just isnt worth the crisps/cake/wine/chocolate. Plus my life is certain to be even shorter if I just eat crap all the time!
  133. clairex

Which plan do you find the best?

I generally do red/green days as find this better for me. Only because I'm not a great lover of veg, so find it hard to have 1/3 of my plate super free. But I do tend to do EE if I'm eating out.
  134. clairex

    omg omg omg polishes halo

we really are! and my family are having an indian tonight. I've had a syn free SW meal! I deserve some sort of bloody medal! never in my life have I been able to turn down a take away ha ha.
  135. clairex

How do you 'feel' about food?

I have a very unhealthy relationship with food. I find it incredibly difficult to say 'no', even if i'm absolutley stuffed to the point of feeling sick! I use it as a source of comfort, yet a way to celebrate. Food is constantly in my mind; planning my next meal, what I might eat next. I feel...
  136. clairex

    Whats for tea tonight?

Quorn pieces, sw sauce made from scratch, spaghetti, cauliflower, broccoli and carrot. Oh and a chip on the plate whoops!! Eyes def bigger than my belly - couldnt finish it!
  137. clairex

    omg omg omg polishes halo

I did the exact same on friday when everyone ordered a chinese! wahooo!! Get us!

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

there's a vid on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPlL28z8Cgs It really takes a bit of playing around, after a few tries i worked out how sweet I liked it, so put in a bit more sweetner than they advise, and i like to reduce it right down so it is quite thick. It's just a case of trying...
  139. clairex

I cant do it :( helppp?

When I feel like this, have a flip through a sw mag and maybe try a new recipe? it reminds you of your love for eating healthily and all the great things you can eat! x

  142. clairex

Unexpected weight gain while on SW. Any ideas?

I'm glad you decided to come out of the shadows - howdy!! This is why I stopped weighing during the week, sometimes I would weigh heavier for no reason at all, I'd worry about it all week, by the time i got to group it was for no reason at all! I imagine it will be a side-effect of your...

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

I had diet coke chicken (my fave!) with carrots green beans of some sort and spinach. Yum. I realise it does not look appetising on the picture, but it is so yummy. My family are having a chinese (my favourite!) but i am being 100% good and committed. Yay for willpower!
  144. clairex

    Cravings took control!

So glad you decided to stick with it. You won't regret it! xx
  145. clairex

    Cravings took control!

Hiya. Congrats on losing 3 stone! That is a huge success and you must feel so much better for it. I totally understand how sometimes, your weight can seem like the least of your priorities. BUT, how frustrating would it be to come back and have to re-lose the weight you already worked so hard to...
  146. clairex

Having 'days off' from the diet...do you do it?

I don't do it, just because I then find it so hard to get back on plan!
  147. clairex

    New to SW

serial weighing is dangerous! Your weight fluctuates depending on day/time/when you last went to the loo/what you've just eaten etc - try not to do it!! lock those scales away and only do it once a week. get someone to give you them on weigh day and no sooner! lol xx
  148. clairex

    Help!

Glad you are feeling more positive! These little blips happen from time to time, aslong as it doesn't chuck you off the wagon completely that's the main thing. Well done you xx
  149. clairex

    Newbie in need!

I think the main tip is to be prepared!! Make sure you have lots of sw friendly food in, or with you at work, so if you do get hungry you can reach for a free/low syn food and not mess up. I tend to be someone who gets in from work and just cannot be bothered to cook, so what i tend to do is...
  150. clairex

    New to SW

If you are only having small losses in the first couple of weeks, i'd reccomend keeping a food diary and posting it on here. I did that when I first started, and I was doing a lot wrong without realising! Some great experts on here haha, take advantage! x

    3 years?!

    Thanks everyone! x
  152. clairex

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

I know what you mean but you've already lost so much, so you obviously know what you're doing! dont look at it as failure, look how far you've come already. Life is always getting in the way, these things happen, just draw a line under it and keep going. You can do it! xx
  153. clairex

    3 years?!

I blummin' hope so! No scratch that, I WILL do it this time! PMA!
  154. clairex

    wot an idiot i am

The only thing you have to do now is just make sure that one blip doesn't result in a full week of blips! It's so hard, but I find reading through a SW mag or looking at new recipes you want to try a good way of giving you a kick when you need it. Or if you have the time actually try something...

  164. clairex

Which plan is more popular- What do you do most of?

I do red/green, i tried EE but due to my HATE of veggies and fruit I found it so difficult to have 1/3 of my plate superfree foods. And as I know the red/green plan like the back of my hand i just find so easy to do.
