    Your head does have to be in the right place. It's very difficult to do if you don't feel like you need to, willpower is the most important thing when you are losing weight - if you feel you don't need to lose weight then you are unlikely to have the willpower.

    Cycling is good exercise, you can build up how far you go very quickly. My aim is to go from about the 6 miles I can comfortably manage now to 20 miles by the end of the school holiday - that's with my kids!

    Extra Easy Fill your plate with 1/3 superfree foods..

    You are supposed to choose your superfree first so for example you would choose a fruit, then either cereal or yoghurt and then if you can manage you have your third item (cereal or yoghurt). I must admit I don't tend to have superfree with breakfast!

    Good luck! It's quite hard to get out of the habit of point counting everyhing but very refreshing. I think you can have 450mls of skimmed milk as your healthy extra a so that will be plenty for many cups of coffee.

    Extra Easy 1/3 superfree food??? HOW??

    Breakfast is the only meal i don't always have my superfree with. I tend to have an omlette or porridge and quite like them both plain, if I added anything it would just be a case of adding calories. I do however have it with lunch and dinner, it's a habit I have had to get used too and now enjoy.

    Thoughts on Exercise bikes or cross trainers

    I use a cross trainer at the gym and really like it. Think it burns more calories than an exercise bike. I have a bike but in this weather don't use it much!

    Alli - Anyone using this?

    I'm taking Orlistat which is prescription strength - double Alli- and it has really helped to keep me on track. If you eat low fat then you shouldn't get any side effects. You do still have to eat a low cal diet as if you eat too much, even low fat foods, you wont see the benefit.

    Where did you hear the Vicklee - googled and couldn't find anything about it. Usually when drugs are removed from market it's imediate rather than to be removed at a later date. Unless it's NHS cost cutting and it will be removed from prescription.

    Had enough

    You have to do what is right for you. At the start of a diet you generally lose it fast and then it slows down so it may have happened anyway. I hope your weightloss journey contiues well!

    when do calories start getting absorbed?

    I assume it's when your body starts digesting the food. SOme food, like protein need more energy to be digested so will use up more calories in the process. I have also read that carbs are turned into fats to be used as energy by your body - it's all so complicated!

    Not working????

    There's 11 grams of fat in a Kit Kat so if you didn't have a lot of fat in the rest of your food for the day you may not feel an effect. I've had chocolate beofre and been fine (only small amounts).

    5% rule???

    I do sometimes add a tiny bit of cheese to lowfat meals. I go by the principle the whole meal needs to be under 5% so adding a small amount of something with a higher fat content to a large amount of something with a low fat value should be fine.

    Xenical and combining with other diets.

    I was calorie counting before I went on holiday but ate so much sugar while away (and gained 6lbs!) that I got thrush (sorry for tmi!). I looked into diets which are good for thrush and found Zoe Harcombe, thrush seems to be better and will find out on tuesday if I have had a good weighloss.
